Did Hype change and is it back to what it used to be?

I know this happened a long time ago, but it's been bugging me.

Has anyone noticed that Hype changed a few months ago? Well, more than a few, really.

I had a bottle of hype last summer that was great. Tangy, flavourful. Then, I got another 100ml in October and it was terrible. It's still sitting there in my cupboard half full. The flavour was muted, didn't vape nearly as well and was just plain weird and not very pleasant.

I'm probably not going to order it again, which is a damn shame because I used to love it, but I thought I'd ask if anyone else noticed the change or if I just got a bad batch....and is it back to being good?[/h]

I havent noticed any change in Hype at all and Ive been vaping it for over a year on and off. Now that its had time to steep I would suggest trying it again.

I need to try hype out. heard nothing but great reviews about it. can anyone describe the flavor for me plese? since ave is down cant check on what it is I remember it being fruity?

it is fake peach/melon flavor. It is really fake but something about it can be quite good.

Well, the last time I tried it was a couple of weeks ago...

I'm guessing I just got a bad batch, really...

Perhaps not, but since getting this bottle, it has always tasted this way. It's such a shame because I had vaped it for at least 8 months prior to that with it being delicious....then this one big bottle sucked. :-(

how big of a bottle? I have better luck with 30ml bottles than 100ml. I think it is harder to shake the contents of the larger bottles up and by the time you are finished, they are older.

It's a 100ml. It has tasted this way since I first got it, even steeped it open with much mixing for MONTHS and it never got any better.

If I can ever place another order with these guys, I'll probably just get a smaller bottle to make sure I'm not crazy and it was never actually any good in the first place.

Interesting, I just started a similar thread on this very subject. Although I don't find the new taste terrible, it was definitely not what I was expecting. My initial reaction is that I want my old PG Hype back but I will give this new taste a fair go and see what I think.

hmmm, so I wonder if the change was permanent. I ordered a big AVE order last week and should get it any day. I only got 30mls of Hype to test if it's back to the way it was or not. I guess I'll find out soon.

But it definitely DID change.

From when to when did you notice the change? My last order of BEFORE Hype was from last April. Then the "new" hype was ordered last October....

The last order of BEFORE Hype for me was an order I placed in April of this year. Last week was my first order since then so all I can really say is that at some point in the last few months either the recipe changed or a mistake was made during preparation. Maybe this is what Hype tastes like with a flavor boost?

hmmmm, maybe. The change for me just seemed like it lost a lot of flavour. When I ordered it early last year, there was no flavour boost option. Maybe they toned it down and made the original the flavour boost, as you say. I didn't notice a flavour boost option this time either, but I was ordering rather quickly.

There was no checkbox for the flavor boost but you could put in a request in the order notes for a flavor boost.

Either way, I really hope that this isn't a permanent change in the recipe/taste.

I got my package yesterday. Upon first smell and comparison taste, it does seem like the new bottle tastes more like the old taste than the offending bottle. Almost like there's a particular flavour missing from it....

I've vaped lots of Hype since getting my first bottle over a year ago, currently about 60-65 ml into a 100 ml bottle I got shortly before the site/hacking problems started and it tastes great to me, my only problem is that I really want another 100 ml bottle. Hype and Tennessee Cured were my all day vapes before the problems started, but lately I have been rationing my use to try to make it last until AVE gets back up consistently.

Im sure the Old hype is Much better than the new hype. I honestly ordered my first bottle of hype 2 weeks ago and I cant really stand the fake peach taste. it has no melon whatsoever. Old recipes are always better :/ wish I actually tried hype back in the day. same goes for gorilla juice there's something missing the flavor just isn't what it used to be

Thats probably your problem right there. 9 months can cause a lot of changes in a juices tastes and chemical composition especially if its stored where sunlight can reach it.

No, I'm not saying this bottle changed from when I got it til now. I'm saying this 100ml bottle was ALWAYS different....and hasn't really changed in 9 months. The change was from the previous bottle of Hype I had.

I just received a new order last week and got a 30ml of Hype. It seems to be back to the old Hype....so, this 100ml must just be a lemon.
