Hi,

So after discovering the reason that my vaping on 12mg Nic on my Subtank wasn't harsh to me is because the liquid I was using was 15/85 PG/VG (I thought it was 50/50) I went and bought another liquid (since my main supplier is out) and bought 50/50 pg/vg 12mg Nic and it's just plain harsh.

So I stopped at Rite Aid this evening and bought what is labeled as Rite Aid brand Glycerin. (glycerin anhydrous USP 99.5%)

Is this the right stuff to use so that I can try to dilute down the bottle of 50/50 that I purchased recently?

I searched and found a couple topics from 2009 but it seemed some folks said yes it's okay, others saying that they don't know and some saying you don't know if it's derived from animal fat or vegetables and if vegetables not knowing what vegetables.

We have no other stores that sell VG around us but if this is not the right stuff to use, then I'll return it before opening it.

Thanks

Thanks,

If I may ask one more question. I'm about to start making our own juice so looking for Propylene Glycol. Is there anything special that I need to look for when I go to the animal feed store tomorrow as to whether I'm buying the right Propylene Glycol?

I'm not even sure if our local hay/feed/tack store has this or not, but if they do is there something I need to look for like does it also have to say USP on it to know that I'm buying the right Propylene Glycol?

glycerin anhydrous USP is just the same only has water added..... .5% water and can be a synthetic glycerin. It really has little bearing on much so I understand. Glycerin can be extracted from various sources such as animal fat and in this case, vegetable(s), but there are synthetics too, you may have that. From my understanding it is less expensive than VG, use that as a guide.

I did a little research on the Walmart brand of glycerin today. I saw a post in another site that had the data sheet from Humco. It says that their product is safe for inhalation. I never found any negative comments anywhere so I bought some and am vaping it right now. I added 20% to a bottle that I felt was a touch too strong. I don't believe there is any major difference to the vg I buy from NudeNicotine. I'm sure the extra fingers and toes will come in handy after I've gotten used to them. :)
