Sorry but I can't post in the clearomizer forum yet but I just got in the mail a kanger mini protank 2. What makes me suspicious is that there wasn't a scratch code on the box and it didn't have the 2 extra o rings that I've seen with other boxes.

I don't have any right now to compare.

What it does have which makes also think it may be real is the box had a hologram sticker seal but when peeled off didn't leave a residue, came off nice and clean. Also, every piece does come apart including the drip tip. It came with coils, both 2.5 ohms. Also come with instruction card with choice spelled choic which I understand is normal.

I bought it on ebay for $9.99

Also, being new, should I get lower resistance coils or stick with the 2.5's?

thanks every one

my mini protank 2 came with just a hologram sticker on the side too which came off cleanly and didn't have a scratch off sticker either....either that's normal, or we both bought clones lol

Mine also comes completely apart too (drip tip, top portion, tank, bottom portion, etc.)

Ummmmm, did you read the whole description?
"The Clone Kanger Mini Protank 2 is a glue-free Ego Clearomizer that can be fully disassembled for maintenance and some customizing."

I think I learned my lesson.
Well, don't go overboard with your judgement and I certainly hope you don't condemn every vendor on ebay for your mistake. :) I says as much in the description:

The Clone Kanger Mini Protank 2 is a glue-free Ego Clearomizer that can be fully disassembled for maintenance and some customizing.

Any reputable affordable dealers you might recommend?
Check the suppliers forum. Also, the "Coupon" button at top.

I think there are some reliable sellers on ebay, just like websites on the internet. You just have to check the feedback and see what folks say.

That and read the descriptions closely, it says clone twice. I ebay stuff all the time, none ecig based but you need to read the listing with a fine tooth comb. They will tell you legit or fake but often disclose that info further down the listing page

Related story. I picked up a genuine PT MiniII from a local shop and my girlfriend liked it so she wanted one too.

She ended up picking hers up from a different shop and no matter what the thing would not wick.

I went with her the next day to exchange it. Long story short and 5 open boxes later due to everyone not working right I finally got a good look at the box and noticed it was a knock off. Very convincing at a glance though.

Not trying to scare anybody off clones, as there are some great ones out there, but the PT is so cheap as is it is not worth messing with knock offs IMO.
