Did I get ripped off?

Hey all,

I recently found out about vaping and my wife and I are extremely interested. In our excitement, we ordered from the only seller we knew about: smoking-everywhere.

We made our order on Friday night at around 8:30 p.m.. We ordered the standard 2.0 starter kit with a few extra cartridges and standard 3-6 day shipping for a grand total of $113.

Since ordering, I started doing my homework and it is starting to appear that I purchased the wrong e-cig from the wrong company at the wrong price.

Any opinions? I've started thinking about trying to cancel my order and order a better e-cig starter kit with extra liquid and all that at a better price.

Suggestions? Advice?

We are flat broke at the moment and I dread paying more for an inferior product ... but I do feel it is my own fault for not doing enough research before ordering. In my defense though ... I'm super excited about quitting as I have been a 2 pack a day smoker for nearly twenty years (yes, I'm only 32 ... yes, I realize I'm saying that I was smoking at the age of 12) and have tried everything to quit and failed (zyban, patches, gum, etc).

If it is not too late to cancel, then by all means, cancel and get a better kit. I did the same thing, I bought an e-cig like the SA and although it worked and got me off the analogs, I paid way too much for it. Good thing is the auto batts it came with work with my 510. I also recomend the 510 kit with the manual batts but keep reading to make your own decision because there are a lot of options and great suppliers listed on this forum.

If you have it and it keeps you from smoking tobacco it's worth every penny. However, if you don't have it yet, then yes you got a bit ripped. I suggest a 510 manual switch from Eastmall.

I suggest any 510 actually but Eastmall is a good price 59 bucks for a starter kit and the product is always in good shape (that's my experience thus far)

Sorry to say that SE is way over priced and their PV (personal vaporizer) is one of the worst. I believe they have a 30 day return policy. If not, just do the best you can until you can get a good PV. I would suggest ONLY getting a manual PV. To start out, I would either get the Joye 510 or the new DSE 901 MANUAL battery PV. Here are a couple of venders to check out. I think EastMall is the only ones that have the manual 901's but I would check them all.

Rocky Mountain Vapor you have reached the mountain top of electronic cigarettes! : Home
Heaven-gifts.com Ruyandirect.com Best E-smoking Shop
www.eastmall.net - Eastmall International Co.,Ltd
e-Smokey Treats - Electronic Cigarette's, The healthy alternative to traditional tobacco cigarette's

Wow ... that is a LOT of info. It might take me a few to read and absorb it all, but wanted to say immediately how impressed I am with the quick and kind responses.

I may have just found a new home. :D

I'll look around at the site and see if they have a return policy. If I can contact them and cancel, I'll then look at some of the offered suggestions and go from there (we can't afford to purchase another on top of the SE one right away).

So it looks like the 501 seems to be the favorite around here, so I will look into it first. Thanks for the help yet again! Much appreciated!

I had a SE ecig for about 3 days and it was one of the worst things ever. Hardly any vapor and the carts are expensive. totallywicked is great, (make sure you order for the USA site) get a mini (901) or a Titan (510) and some extra empty carts and e liquid. It wouldnt be a bad idea to buy a few extra atomizers and batteries too in case the FDA turns up the heat for a bit.
You may be tempted to buy from China to save a few bucks but at this point you would be throwing your money away because of the customs problem. TW is fast and shipping from FL.
You can buy a 901 for about 50 bucks and if you check out other sites (Janty USA for example) you can get some cheaper liquids, electroniccigarettesales.com is very reasonable. When you get the hang of it, you can start making your own juice and save a ton! I love ecigs!! Welcome to the family!

SE sells a decent e-cig. They're just overpriced. Consider it a starters fee, and use it to learn on. You may like it totally, or maybe not. At least it will get you started. If you decide to keep it as you primary PV, parts and supplies can be found inexpensively here in the forum. If you decide to get another brand, the first one will become your backup.

If you do decide on the 510, I got mine from Rocky Mountain Vapor for $46.00 which included shipping. I'm in Missouri, and it arrived in about 3 business days.

Good luck!

I would suggest extra batteries. The 510 batteries don't last to long.A usb passthrough is a good investment to avoid fighting over whose going to recharge first.I don't know about anybody else but I go through cartridges like a machine gun.My significant other vapes even more than me and the passthrough is something we couldn't live without.Totally wicked is a little more expensive, but their service, quality and reliability are worth it.

I use the RN4081 and I bought 2 complete e-cigs (includes battery and atomizer) for $46.00 from theindoorcigarette.com. I still use it and the customer service is great.

I have never tried the 510, but it's on my agenda and I found the cheapest to be $38.90 from Ruyan Direct. Starter kit - Heaven-gifts.com Ruyandirect.com Best E-smoking Shop

Anyhow, the ladder is based in China and the former is USA with incredibly fast shipping.

I use a 510 as my all-day vape, but use my SE pretty regularly for different flavors. I like the flavor of the SE better although I like the vapor in the 510 more. I also vape EcoPure which is so light that I don't want to get my atomizers flavored with my other stuff. When I want a little flavor I drip on my SE. Love them both.

Agree with Jim. It's not the end of the world if you can't cancel it. One thing you MUST know though, is that those prefilled carts that you get with it are NOT equal to a pack of cigarettes. They might not even be equal to 3 or 4 cigarettes. The only way way vaping is economical and practical is to get some liquid and refill your carts.

I just looked at the kit, and I would say that you overpaid considering the contents. I just bought a 510 kit with 1 manual and 1 auto battery from thevaporpro.com and it cost about $55 including shipping.

If you can return it for a full credit, I would just because you mentioned that money is tight. You may really like the SE, but it seems kind of silly to pay that much for it. You could buy some extra batteries and atomizers with the money you save. Trust me, you need more than two. Just my personal opinion.

I personally love my 510. I've had it for almost 2 days and I've only smoked one analog. I don't even want an analog now, lol. The only problem that I've run into is that my husband keeps stealing it, and he isn't even a smoker!

510 definitely. It's the only e-cig that could get me to quit and consistently keep me happy. You'll love the 510 for its size, throat hit, and the PCC should be your first purchase when you have the money to spend. Although I'd probably say go to Rocky Mountain Vapor and buy 2 510 starter kits and a 30ml bottle of juice. You'll be glad you did.

Anyone saying their prefilled carts equal 15 or more cigs is simply not telling the truth. If not then just ask any of the long time posters here if that is the case and they will tell you it's not true either.

Again my stupid cat going nuts after finding he isn't getting Du Maurier brand anymore. Had to take the AK47 away from him.

Don't worry if you order from China. Everything you buy originates in China, except Ecopure and JC juices. There is NO problem with US Customs on personal orders. It is only the $5,000 type orders placed by SE that are getting stopped. Orders from Eastmall will take 7-10 days to arrive. I assume Ruyan is about the same.
