I have been staring at that one for a month or two now. It is simple, inexpensive, like the look of the grip and I like three button controls. Will be interested to hear what you think of it.
I almost pulled the trigger on it late one night, seems I am most venerable to weakness then :) Didn't because of the button top issue, all I own right now are flat. Looks like the batteries that come with it are old tech and was hoping to use the ones I have. Bought a 17 buck china direct Vamo instead. I am however interested in possibly getting some as gifts. heh, not for me :) but to give.

After using it for a day, I like the Sigelei V8 mod and my wife likes it even better. She has abandoned her Vamo 5 in favor of the V8 using it at 4.2 volts with a 24mg liquid using a Protank 3. Typically she used the Vamo 5 with same nicotine strength liquid at 9 watts. The build quality seems solid.

On the down side, it only has 510 threading and changing batteries is somewhat cumbersome. I have ordered a 510 to ego adapter to allow use of our ego threaded tanks. The Lord Davons video pointed out that the positive battery connection is slightly recessed which is a problem for flat top batteries. It seems that a blob of solder on the V8 positive connection (not on the battery) will overcome that issue.

However I do not like the other items in the kit. The included battery charger can only charge one battery, which is rather foolish given that V8 uses 2 batteries. It isn't a problem for me as I have a Nitecore dual charger.

Also I do not like included DCT cartomizer as it is more difficult to fill compared to most any clearomizer.

I give the mod 4 out of 5 stars, but give the starter kit as whole only 2 stars as I think it would cause first time users to give up vaping.

I hope that helps.

Davey59: I noticed in your pic that you have an SVD. There was a run of SVD's with bad button switches.....and I got one of them. It just quit making contact and with all my efforts of contact cleaner I saved it a couple times before it really quit. My Vamo 5 started acting up after about 5 months. The center battery contact needs proding sometimes to start. I've also got into the Mech Mods (have 8 now) and doing builds on RDA's and RTA's......oh man! Try it once and there's no going back. No more Digi's for me. I use a multimeter for testing builds.

Here's a link for some Flat Top Battery adapters - basically adds a button top to flat top batteries. Think Madvapes.com may have them, also.

does anybody know why the batteries come with two different styles of anodes and cathodes?.
one would think that they would be the same across the board.
just wondering regards

How I understand it, flat top batteries are manufactured to be used in circuit board applications - usually hard wired in and were never really designed to be used in removable applications.

Button top batteries are a consumer battery and the button top is distinct to ensure the customer puts them in the right way.
