When I was interested in learning to build coils, I started with a tri post dripper as well, and I usually recommend similar drippers to other just starting to build. Especially ones like the Tobh, with the holes drilled into the post for an easier time attaching the coils. Wrapping coil legs around little screws on other rebuildables is little harder and time consuming. At least it was for me, as they just kept popping out!
After the dripper, try other styles as well OP. I went from a Nimbus clone (dripper), to a Kracken clone (genesis style tank) in auto drip mode with a vertical micro coil and cotton wick, to a Kayfun clone. My favorite of all is the Kayfun. I have a pretty long commute each day, so dripping and genesis style tanks that leak when they aren't held upright aren't really suitable to my lifestyle. Still, I enjoyed learning to build on all three.
