I must have missed the announcement, the minis are gone?

I have yet to see a announcement.

But I noticed awhile back that the Mini (14500) REO is not listed on reosmods.com.

The Mini 2.0 is also not listed.

I think the only one Rob is making now is the Mini 2.1. It houses the 18490 and a 3ml bottle like your 2.0 but has an enlarged catch cup to accommodate most rba's. I believe the catch cup is about the same size as the one on the Grands.

I've noticed it, too. I've stocked up. I noticed awhile back that he had the few remaining Minis in the Blem category on the site. Then as they disappeared, he just never replaced them. I figure that even if he ever brings it back (he DOES have the patent....) that they'll be powder coated. Mostly, anyway. So....I think our little anodized REO Minis are collector's items.

I love my minis, I have two, I love the size, and I want more eventually. Powder coated is fine with me. I've been kinda saving for a Grand, but may have to put the resources towards a couple minis in the classies as they show up. Only thing is, I may have to get a color I'm really not to crazy about. What about the availability of repair kits for these, and the mini 2.0?

Never should have traded my beat up mini. Oh well, not a fan of 14500's anyway. That's ok, already socking cash away for the next, a 2.1

I love the 14500 size. I have other mods that I like, but I think that the mini with a 1.3 - 1.4 Ω RM2 is the sweetest s/u there is.
Am I gonna have to go to Change dot Org to start a petition to get Rob to bring the mini back?

The repair kits are the same for the original Mini and the 2.1 Mini (I believe,) so they should be available forever.....

There are a couple of original Minis in classifieds right now....a green/silver one and a black/black one.....

Yeah, I see those, but I already have a black, well, a black/blue, and green really isn't a favorite of mine. I would really like to know Rob's plans for these before I start jumping on just anything. That green is a good price tho.

There are places to get them anodized. One is an ECF member. For the time being, if Robert is no longer doing anodized you can get a bare, no pressed fitting or magnets, have it sent to anodizer, then back to Robert to finish. Adds some cost to REO, though.

But were talking about Mini 1.0 here. If you want to snag one on classies, in color you don't like the anodizer can strip the anodizing off and do a color of your choice. Robert needs to remove the pressed in fitting, first.

For a little extra he will polish the aluminum before anodizing. Polished anodized are very beautiful.

Mini 1.0 has a well appreciated place in my arsenal but I reach for Mini 2.x the most.

And curious, too, about Mini 1.0 future.

I will selfishly call myself lucky. I was torn, get rid of the mini because of short battery or mini 2 for color. Either way it was for a new reo and I'm glad I bought two new 14500 aw and mini2 went on the block.

Now the color debating in my head begins. Should be easier since my grand is two weeks old or so and I have it narrowed down to 20 possibilities.
