i thought I bought an authentic Russian 91from someone who I didn't think I needed to think twice about, but upon further review, I have no idea what I bought. The top cap is funky (2 pieces, or 3 if you include the stock drip tip), the chimney is super tall (goes up into the drip tip, there is no UTC on the deck between the airholes (the videos I have watched has it, the 510 drip tip adapter (I got this from someone else) does not fit and I don't even know how my own drip tip would fit with an adapter because the chimney is so long. Maybe someone can tell from the pictures below exactly what I bought, whether it be a clone, or some kind of Russian/kayfun, clone of a clone hybrid I don't know.

Maybe if i bought a new top cap and chimney I could make this right?

The deck looks like a possible russian but that chimney is way to tall perhaps for an aftermarket tank.
What is that weird looking thing in the top cap, never seen that before?

Thats what I can't figure out. I can't find this piece ANYWHERE ot even an explanation/duplication for that matter. It's some kind of conical shaped metal piece that screws into the bottom of the top cap, and the chimney goes through that up through the top cap and right into the bottom of the drip tip.

The deck does seem legit to me. The tank, 2 metal cyclinders and plastic piece are all fine, but that chimney though? and the weird top cap? I have no idea, I'm pretty sure this is one of a kind. Maybe my friend got some kind of aftermarket conversion kit with a bigger tank and new top cap.

Either way I am going to get a new stock chimney and some kind of new top cap I guess.

But the thing is, it works. And it works really well. I have had no complaints until I took it a part a few times and rebuilt, did some research, but I'd still like to figure it out.

The longer chimney is one of these, used in conjunction with a longer tank section like this, which in the authentic Kayfun allows you to have maximal juice capacity. However, I believe Fasttech sells a strange KF/R91 iteration that even in it's stock configuration is longer than the authentic. Notice that long chimney....

I couldn't open your first link, but the second one, that chimney is just about the same height as the drip tip. On mine, the chimney is about 1/4-1/2 inch taller than the drip tip.

My conclusion is that I have an authentic russian deck, but an after market chimney and top cap that accommodates a larger tank of some sort. Either way, I'm going to order a new top cap and chimney from russianrba.com

Thanks everyone, I don't feel as confused anymore.

Alright I need a little help with my Russian. I'm trying to figure out the correct parts I need to buy to get these thing assembled and working correctly. I just bought a new, authentic, top cap and top part of the chimney. And now the chimney is a tad bit too short, it does not make a seal when I screw in the top cap. I'm thinking I need to buy the bottom part of the chimney now, bc mine is a fraction too short, and I will finally have everything fitting correctly.

Can someone please help me out and post a pic of the chimney (2 pieces) standing side by side next to each other, and maybe the tank top and bottom stainless steel tank rings as well (Google has not been very definitive)? Or if you have the time to measure these pieces, this would help me out tremendously and I couldn't thank you enough. Basically I need to see these pieces next to each other so I can figure out of mine match, which part I need, and how I can fix the tiny tiny little gap between my chimney and top cap.

If anyone is not using their russian right now and has it disassembled, I would feeaking appreciate you so much!! I need to get to the bottom of this so I can finally start to use this dang thing, I really don't want to have to buy a brand new one when I have all of the parts sitting right in front of me!
