Did my ecig just 'shock' me?

So i literally just filled my cartomizer with some new juice, and i was vaping it, but it was gargling a bit. I don't know if i overfilled it or if a cartomizer needs some time to completely soak up the juice before one should try vaping it (can someone clarify this for me?). anyway, as i was vaping, i kinda felt a shock kind of feeling on my tongue. It may have been some of the now-hot juice shooting out of the mouthpiece of the carto, but im just curious as to what i did. any answers?

I read of someone using a cartomiser with a pierced tongue who felt some kind of shock, I think i would get a new cartomiser if it happened to me, as maybe its faulty...

It was hot juice.. it happens.. It''s not a common occurance but with a newly filled carto that pops and crackles.. it's best to hold it away from you for a moment when you first push the button. If you are using an auto device.. nothing you can do.

Hot juice. It happens when you overfill a carto sometimes. A good drip tip helps.
Of you overfill it and it's gurgling, take it off and blow the excess out.
If you fill with the condom method, you don't need to wait for the juice to soak in. After filling with the condom method, blow out the excess juice that got into the air tube in the center of the filler material.
If you fill by dripping, then you should allow some time for the juice to soak in.
When you top off, tilt the carto so you don't get juice in the air tube. Let it run down the side into the filler material.

Thanks! I did this earlier on my own from reading a guide, but it had you do it from the opposite end, so the battery side was facing up. The problem with that was that I couldn't see the filler material, or know if it had gotten high enough. The way the guy does it in this video is much better.

filling from the batt end pretty much ensures that the coil is saturated. Since I've been doing this I've yet to get a dry or burnt hit. I do this before putting the carto in a tank and it works great. it's easy, quick, doesn't require any extra tools and you can vape immediately.

wow after that video I will always use the cartridge and never drip straight onto the atomiser again!
