So my first build, although not perfect, turned out really well. Nimbus (clone) rda w/ 28ga. Kanthal and cotton wicks. For anyone trying to get to .8 ohms, I wrapped the wire 9 times over a 3/32 drill bit. One coil turned out better than the other, but it hit like a train. I was blowing huge plumes of vapor. Sometime this afternoon I am going to rebuild it and hopefully it will be PERFECT! Never knew this stuff would be so much fun.

Congrats! i have a nimbus clone as well, but i have 32g kanthal A-1 and have been practicing wrapping it on a 20ga blunt tip syringe and my coils still suck. hopefully with a little more practice and once my mech shows up ill be getting it working as good as you are. Keep up the good work and vape on man!

I really can't believe it turned out as well as it did for my first time. All I can say is, keep it pulled tight. And torch the wire before you start. It will take some of the "spring" out of the wire and make it easy to work wit.

Very nice first coils....that's what nice about RBA you can tweak coils to your liking.

Heh - welcome to the next level in vaping. Hold on tight, as you're now going to be constantly tuning and experimenting. Don't worry - that's a good thing. You just took the red pill.

Haha... No doubt! I've been sitting here all night figuring out what my next build will be and how to make more exotic coils. I re-built my 1st attempt and it's hitting even better now. My friends are getting jealous.

Congrats on the successful build! My first few were disasters but I got better. It's amazing how much better/different my e liquid tasted, I had to go back through all the bottles I'd hated in a ProTank. Suddenly they tasted awesome in an RBA :D

I am definitely digging the flavors even more so now... But my 24mg nicotine was pretty brutal and gave me a pretty hardcore buzz on this thing. I had to go get some low nic stuff to drip so I could really enjoy it.

Looks pretty good so far, drop down to 1/16 bit and same build and you should get better results. I run dual 0.59 dual 28 guage and 7/8 wraps. Vapes like a champ. Make sure you got a 30a battery too.

You doing that w/ cotton, silica, or something else? I will definitely give it a try.
