Did Peach change? Or was it just my order?

I had some VB Peach sometime in the last quarter of 2010. It was amazing. The only Peach I've ever had with such a fresh-crisp-peach-taste, and some level of complexity too - I almost want to say a hint of creaminess but there was no dairy aspect at all. I had the Passion Fruit at the same time and it was very similar, had that fresh-crisp taste to it, but it wasn't as complex as the Peach. The Peach quickly became my favorite juice ever.

Fast forward 35 ml and I ordered another 60ml in Jan 2011. I thought it was another perfect order at first, but I was just topping off an old carto with the amazing Peach juice from before in it. It turned out that this time it was just mediocre Peach, not bad, but not the amazing juice I loved so much. About on par with the Dekang based stuff I order from V4L and was plenty happy with until I tried the VB Peach and was blown away.

I'm wondering if maybe it changed? Another flavor I used to like from somewhere else changed in a way I didn't like due to customer feedback one time before, so I'm wondering if it is possible that the VB Peach formula has changed sometime in the past 6 months or so?

If not, I'll try again and see if I get a better result. If it has changed I'll beg to have it changed back.

BTW, I know you are supposed to let it steep awhile, but it has been over a month now - four newly filled peach cartos and 40 ml later and the juice just is not the killer flavor I got the first time around.

Bump. I can't be the only person out there who has ordered Peach on both sides of the last five or so months...can I?

Or maybe Jerry can comment on if the mix has changed or maybe it was just a one-off kind of a thing?

I just got a fresh peach order this past week and it is still the same peach as i had before, at least it seems like the same peach. Its not one I use a lot.

Hmm. Funny thing is that the first two bottles I had (5ml and a follow up 30ml order) were the same. And IMO the most amazing juice. The second two 30ml bottles matched each other in taste, but did not match the previous two. And they weren't bad at all, just not the amazing flavor I was expecting. It is really the difference between one of the best juices I've ever had and just another Peach juice that nobody is going to use a lot. That's why I thought maybe it was a formula change.

I'll try it again sometime. It is just going to take me a little longer to get through the 30ml I have than it would have taken if it were the Peach I had before.

Peach is definitely my favorite, besides Snickerdoodle. I got a sample way back in around... November if I remember correctly, but it could have been earlier. I have been getting 30mls since and haven't noticed a difference. I'll see if I notice and minute changes or if my next batch changes.

Yeah, I sent a message thru the site but no response. I know they are usually quite good about customer service and who knows, maybe I did something wrong when I sent the message, but anyway after that I decided to check if anyone else is having the issue.

It looks like Raynen is not and that is all I really needed. I was just looking for a "Yes, the formula changed" so I would know not to buy it anymore or a "No, sounds like a fluke" so I would know to order it again late.

Like I said, the stuff I have is pretty okay and vapable by any other standard, I'm not even trying to return it. It just isn't that crazy awesome juice I had last year.

So I think I figured it out. I think I might have dumped a Passion Fruit sample in my Peach juice thinking it was Peach and consolidating bottles. That's a mistake I will be sure to repeat in the future. Again and again and again. It really adds a fresh crisp aspect but has a bit more complexity than just the plain passion. Love it.

hmmm, so is it still the Peach you know and love?

I kinda don't blame VB for not replying to complaints about flavor... i did it the first order i did with them about 5 months or more, back. It was Waffle... it tasted like burnt shoe leather imo... i got no response,,,

but hell, a few months later, it was darn good...

I got a couple of Black Cherry samplers in the last month... wow.. the worst of the worst... lol...

VB is still my favorite vendor... mostly because of their Snickerdoodle, and Arctic Ice.

I do have some Peach, and it just isn't tangy enough for me.... but i have NEVER found a tangy enough fruit flavor anywhere yet.

i'm just glad they sell 5mil bottles though... yep.
