True...but they also didnt have electronic tracking and networked computers.

Neither did the bootleggers!

The tools have changed but the fight stays the same. The government has no chance of winning the ban battle so I'm sceptical the goal is to ban them. I think they goal is to control and tax and to allow the pharmaceuticals to own the rest of the pie.

Really, is that a bad thing? I think it was you that commented about HC regulation being a positive (no time to look for that post :) ), if not you then I appologize...but anyhooo I agree. If HC can guarantee the quality/safety testing is regulated, then we would benefit....up until Big Brother taxes the liquids so heavily that even the beaver on the nickel goes to Mexico to take a break8-o

The taxes I really don't care about.

The quality control is a positive.

The banning of loose liquid, the inevitable blocking of flavours with the usual 'for the children' justification, the limit of the nicotine content to patch levels and the enormous hike in prices to support the usual profit margins of the pharmaceuticals is what I will have the issues with.

Hopefully my pessimism will not be justified but my faith in HC has being shaken drastically in the last 3 months. I used to think the CRTC was the only government body to be have deep ties to industry.
