May 10th 2013. Had two molars extracted and bone grafts in preparation for dental implants ...
Tried to smoke an hour later, felt like a spike was being driven into my head. Don't EVER try to smoke with an open tooth socket !
By the time I could smoke again, I had figured out that vaping is a far superior delivery system for nicotine, and a hell of a lot cheaper (well, after the initial impulse buying ...)
It took me less then a week to rid myself of analog cigs and that was only cause I didn't want to waste the 1/2 pack I still had. Been smoking 20 years & tried to quit dozens of times & always failed. The min I got stressed I would go buy a pack ... thanks to vaping I have finally achieved success !!!
Me haven't felt like a cigarette since i started vaping a month ago. I've wondered where my ashtray has gone, tried to light my battery on fire, but I quickly found a liquid that was much more enjoyable than analogs. Quitting seems like a bad worth though, I simply switched.
Quit smoking 9/29/11 using a cig-a-like e-cig. I've moved on since then to "bigger and better" PVs (subjectively speaking). Anyway...I'd tried lots of quitting techniques and "aids". Tried cold turkey too. Nothing worked until e-cigs came into my life.
Yes, I quit smoking after starting vaping about 2 months earlier. When I did quit the transition went smoothly. By the last cigarette they were starting to taste really bad, and the last one was horrible. Looking forward to not going back!
Yes, been cigarette free for 3 months. I have no intentions of going back either. Vape 4 Life. Now if I could just cut back on spending $$$ on vaping and start saving some money...
I am proud and thankful to the work that all authoritative people have put into the vaping equipment/juice/knowhow etc as Vaping has been the solution to my smoking habit that lasted 15 or so years. It's been 3 years now that I have been vaping and I am never going back!!! In addition, I have been gradually decreasing my nic concentration to 0 % so as to slowly fight the addiction itself. I will continue to vape my 0% DIY solutions as I really njoy the act and the taste of the flavours!
Been smoking for 13 years
Nv think of quitting as I enjoy it.
Accidentally saw a movie where this guy was vaping an e-cig
Got excited an start researching
Choose to believe vaping is much more better than smoking and I still can enjoy the hand to mouth action with vapor coming out from my mouth
Got an ego with atomizer and cartridge on 08/08/2011
From them on, life is difference or colorful?
I smoked a pack to 1.5 packs per day for 17 years. Started vaping a month and a half ago on the Evod BCC. I was still smoking an analog or two per day and then got the Provari last Friday. For some reason, I had an analog last Friday night, but haven't had one since. So if this streak lasts, I guess I can say I quit smoking on September 13, 2013. That's Friday the 13'th... Hmm... Not sure if that's lucky or unlucky... Oh well, I'll take it.
started vaping June 25th, 2013. last analog July 25th, 2013. and only 6 total anologs in that first month - just finished off the last pack I had very slowly. happily smoke free now for 54 days. w00t!
I had tried to quit many times in my 25 year smoking career and vaping is the only thing that has gotten me over the 30-day hump. as long as I can vape, i will NEVER go back to cigarettes.
It's funny, after I switched to vaping full time I've never really wanted cigarettes, but going without my pv for a few days will bug the crap out of me. Thankfully I have tons of liquid
I didn't realize how hard quitting was until I tried it. Even with vaping. Nevertheless, I succeeded and now, I have been totally smoke-free for several months. I don't have cravings anymore. And I noticed that I actually vape a little less as time goes on. No more withdrawal symptoms or sudden cravings (mine came at odd hours, like 4 in the morning and I could not sleep because of them).
Smoked 1 pack/day for 2 years. Always wanted to quit that nasty habit. Still smoke a couple when I drink for enjoyment. I am a lot happier and feel healthier!
I quit after 52 years of smoking and it wasn't intentional. Someone suggested that might want to try an e cig and maybe cut down on my cigar smoking and that there was an E cig store around the corner. I said what the heck and made a visit and seeing all the gadgets,( I'm a gadget nut) I just couldn't resist and bought an ego starter set. Lo and behold within a month I had quit completely. I haven't saved any money with this "hobby" yet but will. It sure has been fun and frustrating as the same time.
Never really smoked alot, more of a party smoker or hanging with friends. Would smoke ALOT at parties though, would run through out of cigs and cigars and die in the morning. Since vaping I maybe had 1 cig and a cigar. Rather rather vape and havnt touched a cig in a long time.
