Aug. 26, 2011..my first day of vaping. I remember feeling some apprehension--was vaping really going to help me quit smoking, after 30 years of a pack and half a day? Halfway through that day, my apprehension started going away. At the end of the day, I remember grinning and thinking to myself, "I can do this".

And on that third day of vaping, I threw the analogs out--along with my lighters and ashtrays.

Never looked back after that.

Yes, and like so many others "I CAN'T BELIEVE IT" Vaping with the correct set up changes everything. Thanks "Mr. Forum and of course PBusardo, and GrimmGreen" there are others to thank but those are the top 3.

2 and 1/2 packs a day until March 23 2013 (Again UN-Believable)

My wife and Children would also like to thanks to those three. Often family decides on the flavor for me LOL

For twelve years I nursed a pack a day habit. I started vaping on 19 September 2013. That day I threw out half a pack of cigarettes because vaping satisfied my cravings in every way, and then some. I vape 18mg, but I'm thinking of slowly tapering down to 12mg or 6 mg to make chain vaping a little more comfortable.

I will be a lifetime vaper. I have no guilt about being addicted to nicotine because compared to smoking cigarettes, vaping is essentially consequence free, aside from the (significantly less) amount of money I spend on it. And I'm proud to spend money on a hobby I enjoy.

What's more, vaping has brought the pleasure back into the activity because I can enjoy it wherever courtesy will allow. Most of the bars I go to welcome vaping, and most of my friends think its great too.

Cigarettes disgust me now. But I am careful to not rub vaping in the faces of friends and acquaintances who still smoke. If they ask me a question about it I answer directly, without judgement. But more often than not, they end up asking me where they can purchase a vaporizer and start their own journey back to health.

Vaping has given the most liberating and life affirming experience I have had in a long time. I am very happy.

I stopping smoking for a long time (a year) due to vaping, but when I was living in Central America my setup broke and I went back to Dunhills. It's been challenging being back in the US with non-vape friendly work places, but I'm back to vaping 99% of the time. I have asthma so smoking is really not great for my health. I can breathe much better with vaping. But I've been vaping for 3+ years so it's had ups and downs.
