I am one week and one day cig free, and with all the money I have spent on Ecigs and juice, I darn well am not going to switch back.:p

I got my ecig last Saturday afternoon and the 6 cigs I smoked that day, 4 on the way home from work (I work nights and drive an hour and twenty minutes one way) and the two cigs I had at the range I haven't touched one since, I even gave away the rest of the last pack of cigarettes I had left yesterday. I only smoked for about 5 years (damn, that is a lot longer than I thought).

i smoke sometimes, when im frustrated with my setup/recoil not working..im still learning the setup myself and as a perfectionist, its hard to get the optimal setting..i recoil an aga-t and nimbus (yeah to master vapers these are easy but not for me :)) now using a clone mech mod, i train myself so that i am worthy of using a real mech mod..

Loved reading everyone's stories!!

Yes, I have quit a 47 yr. PAD+ smoking habit, slightly more than a month ago. Bought a little Ego-T and a bottle of liquid at a convenience store. Went home, set it up, took one puff, and went "Wow!" I knew instantly I would be able to quit. Finished up about half a pack of ciggies that I still had, not one of which actually was worth the effort - they just tasted like nothing - total waste of time! I feel so freed! Pretty sure I'll never go back - I'm so grateful to have been able to quit so painlessly and I never want to take a chance on getting hooked again!!

I had previously tried several brands of cigalikes; some weren't bad at all but they just weren't enough to keep me from wanting the real cigs. Now, I don't want one at all, and if I do, it's only very briefly. Ecigs are a real gift!!

I am trying to quit. I am a month old newbie who just started vaping. I managed to cut down from 20 sticks per day to 20 sticks per 10-12 days.

Good on ya ink. I smoked tobacco more than 52 years, (2.5 PAD when I started vaping). Took me 6 months to get to "Solo" e-cig.

Feb 6th was my last vape. Now I do neither. Don't mind being around vapers. . .can't say the same 'bout smokers. JMHO

Good luck with yur "Quit(s)".

Cheers,]

For what it's worth ... I quit smoking when I started vaping about 10 months ago.

Not completely true, since I had one cigarette "just to try it" once about 4/5 months ago. It didn't taste good, and after I put it out, my curiosity was satiated. I don't have any desire to have a cigarette, and I hope I never have another one.

The thing about vaping that worked for me (because I too "quit" a number of times in my life) is that it supplies all the stuff I really liked about smoking: blowing out the vapor, the throat hit, the nicotine (though I'm wondering how important that really is to me) and having something to handle.

But it doesn't smell, my lungs are vastly improved (just ask my doctor), and it's not offensives to others ('cept the "fake coughers" I see once in a while when I vape in public).

My only problem now is that vaping has become yet another gadgety hobby. I bought a Provari and am already thinking about how nice it would be to have two so I can switch flavors more easily on the go ... I definitely spend less than I used to if you consider just the e-juice. When I switched to egos from pen-style fakes, I ended up with two ego twists and six/seven different tanks.

I never thought I'd be into the "coolness" factor of the devices, but it was inevitable ...

But I quit smoking, technically! Feels like I didn't!

I started vaping a couple months ago with a mechanical, I knew it wouldn't keep me from smoking so two days later I purchased a vv and haven't thought of smoking an analog since. Matter of fact it was an evic, and couldn't have been more pleased with it. I've tried a zmax 3, a provari, and now a vtr. I'm torn between both the vtr and evic, the other two can go.

I stopped a 20 a day habit on 7 Feb 13 (at 0730 in the morning!!) and have not had a single cigarette since. I do not vape at work, but enjoy vaping in the evenings and when driving. I make all my own juice (6mg or less, DRY4, Hazelnut, Caramel Candy, Fr Vanilla and Bavarian Cream), vaping various atomisers using microcoils (1-1.7 ohms). All good - I feel better, smell better, have gotten fitter and enjoy the "hobby" part of vaping (I have a vast collection of gear!) Very content!

Coming up on 6 months analog-free now ...

Had two molars pulled in preparation for dental implants last May, just could NOT smoke for the next 3 days. NJOYs saved my sanity, but were killing my budget ...

Leveled off at the eGo stage, still holding there ...

Still have my "last" Kool Blue in the fridge, held by a rubber band to my "last" Budweiser. That Bud has been there for 22 years now unopened, and I hope the last Kool surpasses that record ... :D
