So I crossed the vaping line of demarcation and can no longer get an enjoyable vape off of most of my tube mods. So I am selling/trading several of them to get more REOs and I would like to get a Chalice. I already posted them in the classifieds.

I have heard there were some significant changes made to the last batch of Chalices'. Can some fill me in on those changes and the effects of them? Need to know what I am looking at in case I actually do get any takers on a possible trade or find one for sale.

I believe the changes are all cosmetic, with the exception of switching to titanium posts in lieu of the current brass? ones. I have a v1 now and a v2 on its way to me from a trade. I will let you know when I get it. I'm guessing that others can also help.

Did I say that they vape fanfreakingtastic? The way that the bowl is designed and the coil right over the hole is off the chain. Error proof squonking - just hit the bottle, no need for blind squonk.

Slight learning curve to the diagonal coil. I think it is more of an understanding curve! It was initially frustrated. Rewicking is about a 2 minute task, just unscrew top, pull old, thread in new, clip, rescrew top, saturate (I watch this task with amazement before I rescrew) then get after it. Your gonna love it Rob.

Rob, the main change in them that, at least for me, I didn't like at all, was the different style screws so therefore the way you insert the coils.....the screws are shorter and pointed on the bottom as apposed to the original Chalice and the top has about six grooves in them. It comes with a screw driver, but it's used only to tighten down the coil legs. I had to just tip upside down the base for the screws to just fall out (they couldn't be screwed out cuz there was nothing for the screwdriver to grip) Once you insert the coil legs then you just drop the screws in the posts and THEN you use the screw driver to tighten down the legs.

For me, that wasn't acceptable...it's way to easy to lose those tiny screws. And they're not generic, you have to order extras from mark Bugs.

I sent mine back for a refund.

But I really liked the new shape of them!

Thanks guys. I knew I had read something about the new ones being different and the consensus was not positive. I just couldn't recall what it was and could not locate it right away. I sold my GG so I am definitely looking for an original chalice if anyone knows someone with one they would part with. I posted a want ad in the classies.

I want one but I am afraid of getting one at the same time. I really like my ERAs and worried I might like the chalice so much that I would no longer be happy with the ERA lol. Sounds silly but I used to like carto tanks and tube mods too until I hit on the perfect (for me) setup with my REO and ERA combo.

I have a Chalice I version 2.. that means same shape and design of version 1 but with new screws on it. I disagree wit opinions about screws: the post have no threads, so the grip of screw is on the wire inserted. This avoid to breack the wire when tightning! You can have some trouble with vertical coils, because if you connect one wire to the head of screw you will have also to insert it in the hole to make some grip. One can also screw with hands free the new screws.. or with any tiny object.
For me was a really good purchase.
