From my 2 cents,

Mech is all mechanical meaning no circuit boards, just a battery making contact to the atomizer or coil with a push button of some varity. Most people use Mech's for the simplicity and or to sub ohm vaping on a dripper.

A hybrid is a mechanical or vv mod with tank built in, most have a genesis style atomizer built in with a tank.

Hope someone can chime in too if I missed something.

nope your on it

a hybrid is a one piece design, with usually a genesis atty or dripper on top, the idea is since a mechanical is unregulated putting the atty connection directly to the battery connection helps conductivity even further. it also creates a more streamlined look.

several hybrids also come with a 510 top cap so you can turn it into a straight mechanical if you want to take the atty off and use something else.

So hybrid is just mech with integrated topper?

yup and depending on the specific mech you can buy attys with a hybrid connection instead of a 510. the chi has the aios hybrid atty the nemesis has the dome etc.

for some mods there is also a 3rd party kit that will turn any atty into a hybrid connection

the original hybrids were true one piece kits and what you got was all it could do - like the ZEN's and IHybrids. since then many manufacturers decided to thread the top so you can change things out.

but many true one piece hybrids still exist.

I've been stuck on getting a mechanical mod but i started looking more into it and I figured I might as well get peoples suggestions on hybrid vs mechanical mods. I have a vv xhale k200. Its a piece of ..... It works great and all but its not very compatable. What would you suggest?
