Can someone explain to me how I might use TFA's Sweetener and/or TFA's Ethyl Maltol? I've not used the latter yet, but the former imparts a "spearmint gum" after taste to me. As I understand it, these are both considered sweeteners, but I'm not sure if that means sweetener like adding sugar to koolaid or if it means something else.

I know this is a subjective question, but I'll listen to anyone.

Thanks,

steve

Sweetener is suppose to sweeten.

EM is a tool in much the same way that I'm a fool, very helpful in tiny doses and large.

There is a blue "3" below that picture of me the wife likes so much, click the 3. Seriously, it will be helpful...

Great stuff, I read all three. I do have a question if you don't mind. What are the advantages of EM over say Sucralose? I'm only about 3 to 4 months into the DIY experience and have had more successes than failures but early on the "Sucralose To Go" from Wally World was recommended by another ECF member so I went out and got a bottle. It does a pretty good job of sweetening and it takes very little to make a big difference in taste but if there is good reason to switch I'm in... Thanks for sharing. :thumb:

There's no reason to switch. I use both sweetener and EM, sometimes in the same mix.

A couple drops of EM in a 15ml bottle will not make things sweeter, to most folks, but it will have an impact on how the vapor feels. There are other uses for EM, evening-out, blending, moistening, and even creating a candy shell flavor.

Sweetener sweetens and is useful. EM does quite a bit of stuff depending on how much is used.
