Hello,

I am still fairly new to vaping don't understand all yet. I was curious as to what would happen if I had say... and Evod MT3 tank that comes with a smaller coil, put a a coil that looks the same but is a little taller? I have noticed that some of those coils look alike but some are bigger and some are smaller. Just confused as to the purpose of that and if it will mess the tank up if I put a bigger coil in there.

Thank you for your help!

Im sorry im not shure i understand your question. Do you mean why diferent brand atti heads look so diferent some times?
Diferent manufacturers have diferent ideas of what design is "the best". Thats why you see so many diferent designs. Even if in the end, it all comes down to a wrapped up wire (coil) and some silica or wicking material.

As for exchanging coils from diferent brands, in most cases it wont work. Even if it seems to "screw in place", a little gap for diferent sizes might cause leaking or other problems.
An exception is (i think someone correct me if im wrong), the evod and protank heads. Ibe heard you can use those in either of those two devices. even if the evod heads have a shorter stem that the protank heads.

But in the end, even if they look diferent, they operate in the same principle, a very tiny coil inside with some wicking to get the juice in.

Evods and Protanks use the same heads. The MT3's are made by the same manufacturer, but the heads are slightly different. I think that you can use Protank/Evod heads in the MT3s but you can't use the MT3s heads in a Protank or an Evod. Could be the other way around though. Discount vapers.com explains which can be used in which. That's where I remember reading it.
