Hello peeps I purchased the aspire pockex 2 weeks ago, when I purchased this it already had a coil inside just had to put the juice in it was a nice gentle hit,I put a new coil in yeasterday it's the same type of coil (6 om) 18-23 w put for some bizarre reason it seems to vape more than before like I draw for longer and bigger clouds than before? I'm not understanding is this normal? Same juice is used 2

Could just be the coil is built a litle different than the one before. Were they from the same package? OC on these coils isn't always the best. Is the vape OK the way it is right now?
Hi thank you replying, yes from the same package!!the vape is fine before and now, just seem a tad bit more powerful

6 ohms 18-23 w when I bought this there was allready a coil in there, take a deep draw for little cloud I thought this was right because it's classed as a starter kit, after 2 weeks new coil in not much effort is needed for a biggish cloud!! Just thought it was strange?
Would you mind me asking what brand juice you are using? I'm a new vaper and also have the pockex just burnt my second coil I think it may have been the juice.

Unlikely unless the juice was too thick to properly wick.

Burning comes from applying too much heat to the coil (Watts too high) or the coil not being wet enough and burning (not letting the coil saturate before using or vaping too quickly for it to wick).

When I vape a lot or just install a new coil, I cover the air holes with my fingers and suck hard without pushing any buttons. You should see bubbles in the tank from the liquid being pulled into the wicks.

I've had that happen on mine and I found sometime it matters on how tight you make the top after changing a coil, it seems to vary the air draw. ?
Here's my modified Pockex tip (since they don't make a variety) I can get real good MTL draws and still maintain good vapor output.
It ain't pretty but it works really well.

Here's what I used and easy to fabricate
I9v0XIi.jpg

One piece of plastic tubing , 3/8 inside diameter. (hardware store) you must use the hardened type of plastic so it will retain the modified shape. To reshape the plastic tubing you need to heat up the end, I just used a bic lighter and lightly ran it over the tube, you don't need a lot of heat. I suppose to could heat it up enough in hot water. The with a Pliers I crimped the end down , pinching it just enough so that it was almost closed off. If you keep warming the plastic as you crimp down allowing it to reform a bit at a time is best, don't try to pinch it all down at one try. (i have a pic of that also below) Then I bought a small square of stainless screening and cut a 3/8 diameter piece for a spit back insert) Not necessary really but it does work. I had to use a cuticle scissors for that small cut.
Here is looking down inside the fabricated tip.

The O Ring I just bought as shock absorber protection of the glass, because I find I tip this thing over a lot. Anyway it draws great and and the tighter airflow does not seem to have any effect on the coil, I also use a 70 vg , and the flavor is always nice on the Pockex . And the 3/8 (inside diameter) tubing fits over the factory tip snugly so it don't wiggle but still easy to just remove and use back as normal.

As coils age, they sometimes produce less vape, and as they gunk up a harder draw is required to produce vapor, this happens slowly over time, so it's sometimes hard to notice. I'm not sure how long a coil "should" last but you can change it when vapor production slows down or you start noticing a burnt taste. I'd imagine that may be your main culprit.

Plenty of good MTL tanks out there for you to check out,

Anna
