My reservations with the provari is its lack of variable wattage. I change tanks a lot, and my prefered vape wattage is usually the same for many of my juices, so wattage makes it much easier for me. No need for ohm's law calculations to find my wattage. I'm a big fan of the V3, as I don't think you can find a better quality vape at that price point.

Whats the difference between an ego-c twist and a provari? What about a vision spinner? I know the ego and vision are cheaper and the ego pulses at a lower wattage, how will that affect the vape? I'm new to all this and have an ego-c twist and ordering a backup vision spinner because I found it for $10, but like the sound of this provari to upgrade to some day.

If you read Badtitude post above...his link will go into nitty gritty about Why Provari answer..but in layman's term
A Provari will give you consistent flow of power whether it's fully charge or almost time to recharge the battery, so your hit is the same ...while an Ego Twist..you will notice your vapor/hit production slowly degrade over time..heck probably over 30 mins of chain vaping sporaticaly..of course you have to factor what atty (topper) you have on top, e-juice, etc...the "battery" is just one piece of the puzzle of quitting cigs and enjoying a good vape.

BTW..make sure you get an authentic Vision Spinner...I hear too many complaints about Knock Offs Vision products and people rip on them...for poor quality...is their difference between an authentic and non in vape quality..according to my buddy who is big Ego style fan..yes...but his Vision Spinner 2 was around 30.00

OK gonna put in the Order today !
Thanks everyone for all your great input !!
Last question:
Aspire Nautilus or Kanger Protank 3 ?

If I were you I'd stick with the Protank 3 for a couple reasons. Again, if I understand you right, you have 5 boxes of heads for it and you already have one. When you run out of heads consider a Kayfun Lite + V2. They can be had for $30.

You probably ordered already but...

Order the Nautilus, just for the sake of trying a very different design and experience.

ProVape says the Nautilus is the preferred device. Kanger PT stuff has some issues on Provaris with the placement of the air holes getting blocked in the Provari 510 connector. It's doesn't always happen with every PT and every Provari and there are ways to correct it when it's a problem.

If I were me I would get a Mini. You can always add a battery tube later to extend it for 18500 or 18650 batteries. It gives you the most flexible options for batteries.

Ultimately, for a VV APV you bought one of the best quality, best backed by service devices you could get. Even if you decided you didn't like it, they hold their value and you could always resell it in the classifieds without taking much of a loss. Everyone crosses a line with gear - you can blow a pile on a bunch of devices, or get a really good one and be done with it.

Hay! I just noticed your in Natick.Shout out from Marblehead!!! :headbang:

Variable wattage it really a solution in search of a problem. I know a lot of people seem to be sold on it as a method for setting a device. To me from an electronic theory perspective it makes to sense. I tried to get used to VW as a device setting, I always go back to VV.
:2c:

Believe me I have nothing against the VV V3. It's a great piece of gear at that price point. But if you are going to move up into the $130.00+ range for an 134 you don't get better durability. At that point an 134 is a risky and expensive investment. There are several laments on ECF about 134's going bad - they don't do any better than a VV V3 if you drop them - and you can't get a 134 repaired so...

Love the Watts setting and it might be the best for newcomers (?). Even the lowly egos are coming out in Watts Only.

No I'm the dummy that is confused !
I'm sorry, you are 100% correct.
The PV mini comes with the option to upgrade to an Aspire Nautilus.
Will those carts work with it or do I need new / different carts ?
Sorry again, such a Newbie !
    Lol

This is all probably too late now, but:

The PT3 you already have - and the coils you got for it - will fit/work on the Provari.

The Aspire Nautilus clearo is a different design and uses a different replacement coil designed for it.

Like I said, for the sake of trying something new I hope you ordered the Nautilus.

    Savoir-Faire is everywhere!
i feel like a dinosaur. my provari with cartos, fed by a phiniac tank seem so 2012. :(
Vapin' it old school and in high style will never be unfashionable, not to mention it's a good, solid setup for casual, daily use.

I'd change out the topper for workhorse use where the device is likely to drop a bit (my own situation at times) but other than that, I salute you.

Yes and No. The differences is in the quality of the device, the ability to change the battery instead of having to plug in the device, the accuracy of the voltage being delivered to the atomizer and that it is USA made (Not from China).

Will you see a difference between the 134's and a Provari? IMHO YES YES and YES.

I own both the VV V3 and a Provari. I use my Provari everyday. It goes with me everywhere. The VV V3 stays at home but I do use it most days. It has a second Kayfun on it or a Kanger Mini Protank 3, depending on the day, with a different juice than what I use for my All Day Vape.

I also have 2 Vamo's which see very little use because they have that Pulse Width Modulation.

I have the vv v3 and tried a friends provari this week. There is a big difference! Much better flavor and vapor production. I will be upgrading soon!
