Different additives in nic salts

So I know that benzoic acid that is used in most nic salts to lower the pH level is harmful. Such as skin irritation, coughing wheezing, shortness of breathe, and eye damage. Are there any eliquid companies out there that don't use benzoic acid to lower the pH level? If there are, what are those binding agents/chemicals?
