Different methods of vaping juice?

i'm wondering if there are different designs out there that don't require replacing parts so often.
i have a vivi nova with the replacement head. i do the dry burning... but it seems like i still go through them too fast.

so a couple questions.. is there another design out there that is available? newer tech for vaping? i'm not up on all of that. something that doesn't have parts that need replacing all the time...

second question is... based on experience by those that do it.. how hard is it to make your own heads? i've seen a short video about doing it.. but really. how feasible is it?

or has anyone found a cheap spot to get replacement heads? right now they are about $3 each.

Sadly all coils will fail eventually, but Novas are amongst the easiest to re-coil yourself - all you need is some kanthal wire and silica wick and a bit of practice. I highly recommend a multimeter too because not testing your rebuilds can result in you ruining a device.

Those are the easiest and cheapest coils to do - they last sometimes a few months. When you start adding complexity and different ingredients - stainless steel mesh instead of silica for example, then you also have to factor in a little more fiddling and learning that you have to do to get them to work how you like them. But none of this is beyond even the most technically challenged vaper!

Simply put - i change my coils when the vapor production falls off, they taste nasty or just fail totally!

the cotton wicks will break down as u dry burn but so will SS,just much slower on SS. id have to clean ever week or so but the longer u reuse them the quicker it will degrade.theres allways a chance ull pop a coil....when i first started rba id pop um just testing them out and when i moved to a mini DiD i couldnt get it to work right w/o poking and moving everthing around.it was a long curve for me but now n a few secs i can tie a coil and itll last over a month with just a dry burn when the tanks empty
