About ten weeks ago, someone said they had talked to one of those guys and the project isn't dead... but he had nothing to say about when he thought they might make progress again. -- the good news is that now the VVPV is out and the VV REOs will be out on the 28th, there's no way digitalciggz will be charging 300 bucks for it... well, maybe they can get that much from a couple of their fans, but not the general mod vaping public, anyway.

thanks for the info, six. i must say, the info and beta-testing reviews that were out on the eclipse made it seem pretty compelling. even with the plethora of smart PVs (i.e., darwin and provari), the eclipse seemed like some kind of vaping science fiction dream--pretty intense and loaded with very unique features. i am currently waiting on a VVPV and am also looking forward to the VV REOS.

is the 28th an official release date?

Yes. 7:00 p.m. Eastern time the 28th, the VV Woodvilles should be live on REOs site.

You're going to love the VVPV. I've had mine about a month. I've run about 150 or so ml through it so far and it is the most consistent vape I've ever had. Really an impressive device. -- I expect the VV REO to be just as good. I'm still arguing with myself about getting a VV Woodville on the 28th or waiting for the metal VV Grands.

six, thank you for the details on the VVPV. i am not especially a fan of feeder mods but i am addicted to variable voltage; been waiting for the longest to get my hands on a darwin. i am pretty excited about the VVPV--i am pretty much exclusively a dripper (no tanks or cartos or anything like that) and have been looking for an on-the-go solution for dripping. i have a reo mini but have not really gotten the hang of squonking. i actually got some ikenvape low res cartomizers because i was unable to get a consistent vape out of it while i was running around town. most often, i would flood the atty. and my experiment with cartos proved futile because i hated the taste. i practiced up with the carto and returned to the low res attys combined with an empire drip shield. the drip shield has definitely worked wonders, but i think part of the problem ican be attributed to the quality of the stock attys that i got from rob when i ordered the reo mini.

i only had HR ciscos and ikenvapes laying around so not much of a window to experiment with. the most consistent vape for me has been with my provari, which has always been butter smooth! i think it was your review of the VVPV that i read which touted the ease of the top feeding mechanism so i decided to give it a try! one pump = 2 drops?

as for the VV REOS, i think they will be pretty awesome, especially bolstered with the notcigs circuitry. i have only read the most promising things about buzzmods so i am looking forward to TRY to snatch up a VV woodville on the 28th, but i am afraid that REOnauts seem to be the most ravenous mod devotees, haha...

Yes. 1 pump = 2 drops. I've been running a 2.0 ohm hh.357 on mine. 2 pumps is the right amount of juice every time for that atty. It is effortless to keep it in the sweet spot all the time. Every single drag is exactly like every other drag. Perfect consistency.

I am really, really happy with the VVPV.

I also think the VV Woodvilles are going to sell fast, but it sounds like there's going to be close to 150 of them... and they aren't going to be cheap. So, I think most people who are dying to have one on release day are going to be able to get one. And, even if they sell out fast, I think I read a post from Rob saying he had 500 bodies milled for VV Grands. There was a progress update on those in the post I linked to. The VV Grands will probably be coming in just a few weeks.

very cool pic, six! i think that's the exact configuration i chose--black body with chrome top and bottom! i read your post on another thread so i am really aware of the need for a drip shield; i think i'll try to run an iO6 3.5 Ohm atty with DCA with the drip tip adaptor and see how that works out. man, i ordered last tuesday and still no word on shipping...i'm likely to have those coveted VV REO woodvils in hand before this thing ever ships, haha. i wonder when i will get this thing?

i have some cisco 3.0 Ohm attys as well, but i always hear great things about the hh. 357. i tend to be a chain vaper so i think this would be a perfect atty for me--considering how i am just getting the hang of squonking, i don't want to throw into the mix a 'spitting' atty that has a challenging learning curve. for right now, i am satisfied with the iO6s and cisos, but i will surely experiment with hanna's attys!

I think you'll be a little happier around 3 ohms than 3.5 giving yourself a little more room on the upper end. Off the top of my head, I think the top end of 3.5 ohms with a 5.6v max is a little under 9 watts. That is pretty close to what most people seem to be satisfied with for single coils, but it's nice to have a little room when you feel a need for some heat.

You might use their contact us form on their website to ask for a progress update. It seems like I've read at least one or two people who ordered buzz pros at the beginning of last week already having them in hand. I'm led to understand that everything is built to order, so a few days is pretty normal. But, 9 days or so seems a little long.
