Da South!
I just got a 1.5 ml bottle of tobacco absolute from Perfumer's apprentice. I know that I can heat up PG and mix it with this if I take my time (I prefer not to use alcohol) but what is a good ratio? Some places say 1:100 with alcohol, but I also read two drops per 5 ml of PG on others.

So, suggestions lol?

Thanks for this thread! I'm expecting a large flavoring order to get here any day now, and I ordered Tobacco Absolute and was wondering the best way to dilute/process to get it to play nicely with PG/VG. :)

Then ignore all of the advice given above. Tobacco Absolute has a very distinctive flavour , and is extremely strong.
What you will receive is a tar like substance. which you WILL need to cut .A lot.
You can use either Alcohol , or PG .

Or a combination of the above.

You DO NOT want to vape it on its own.

Something else you need to know , it is virtually impossible to replicate the taste of burning vegetable matter. You may , however , by careful additions of certain flavours and concentrates , produce a liquid that " resembles" a particular tobacco flavour.

As for dilutions , I would suggest 2 drops of the raw TA diluted with a mixture of 4 ml of 80/20 PG/VG , in a 5 ml bottle.

Then , use this dilution as an additive to enhance a tobacco flavour. IE , 1 or 2 drops to your mix.

That's closer to what I was expecting, symphynity. Thanks!

This is from The Perfumer's Apprentice web site from the TA product:

This is a pure product derived from NICOTIANA TABACUM (Bulgarian)
It is nicotine-free and very strong!
Tobacco absolute is a thick liquid that is extracted from tobacco leaves. You can heat it gently to make it easier to work with. Very strong!
Here is one formula, but it helps to experiment.
2 drops Tobacco Absolute
10ml carrier (PG, VG or food grade alcohol)
1/4 teaspoon ethyl maltol

you can substitute ethyl maltol liquid or sweetener for the ethyl maltol crystals.
**new** below you can find Tobacco Absolute diluted to 50% in Food grade alcohol
