I just got a 30ml order of some ejuice today that's rather sweet, and is at 18mg nic which is a bit high for me still apparently. I ordered this juice once i got used to vaping the 18mg that came in my prefilled cartos/starter kit, but i've since been vaping less nic daily. Now i'd like to knock it down to 12mg if possible. I'm not opposed to dulling down the flavor either. I thought i wanted it sweet when i ordered it, so i had the vendor make it that way, but it seems a bit too sweet for more than a few vapes at a time. I think it's a mixture of both really, sweetness and nic level. How can i dilute a good portion of it, yet still leave some the same as my wife will prolly appreciate the higher nic level? It's a 70/30 PG/VG mix. It isn't thick at all, just strong in flavor and has me about to bounce off the wall (i'm assuming that's the nic content) LOL

I read i could get PG at walmart, is that correct? Do i just extract the juice from the vendor and add X amount of PG into a seperate bottle and mix?

Hi,

Well, 1st off... the nic level. Since 3x6 is 18 and 2x6 is 12... if follows that you can make 12 mg liquid with 2 parts of your current 18 mg liquid to 1 part "cut solution" to bring it down to 12 mg (and cut the flavor down to 2/3rds of current too).

So, take some out for your wife (like 1/3 of it) and fill that back up with cut solution. What's cut solution you ask?

Well, it could be PG, VG or a combination of both. If you make it 70% PG, 30% VG you'll keep the same PG/VG ratio that you have now.

As to where to get supplies, since you'll want PG anyway, just order both from one of the vendors on the front page. The handy part of that is that you can order some flavors to tweek stuff with too if you want, or even unflavored nic juice for DIY experiments.

Thanks! So per that calculator, I should mix 20ml of my current juice, with 7ml of PG and 3ml of VG to equal 30ml of 70/30 PG/VG at 12mg. That kinda sounds right, can't believe i got stuck on that. Seems easy enough, just order a 10ml 0mg nic flavorless 70/30 mix (do vendors sell juice this way?), subtract out 10ml of my current mix and substitute the new. Gotcha. Then i'll just save 10ml of the original juice, which i could just let steep for a while and come back to later to see if it's changed.

Sounds like you could use an ejuice calculator -- any of them you find on Google will tell you the drops needed of each component to adjust percentage of flavoring (the standard seems to be about 20%) and reach your selected Nicotine mg level. They are really nice work. I saw a cool Excel spreadsheet on one site that you can keep on your local computer, too.

I emailed the original vendor explaining the issue. I did make sure to let them know it was not their fault, they made the order specifically as requested, but apparently it was too strong for my tastes. They told me they could definitely help me out with the 10ml mix. Great service and the juice is spot-on to my requests! Will definitely be doing business with them again in the next week or two. Thanks again for the help everyone! That calculator's dangerous, may have me tinkering too much with making my own juice

Ha, Takirb, Thats the one I use regularly to make my own liquids. If you decide to give it a try it can be a great investment in vaping. I think it costs me about 25 cents per mL to make my own, But I don't buy every flavor under the sun either so depending on your tastes it could be a blessing or a curse. I never cared to sit down and figure the exact penny amount but it is by far the least expensive way to vape if you know how to make a few liquids that you can use all the time. I'm glad to see you and your vendor got it all sorted out in such a timely fashion. Kudos.
