I was using 48/mg before. Read online to make sure you dilute it, so figiured i should
Well, yes and no. Yes, if you are making ejuice to vape. And usually people buy litres of nic @100mg so as an example you either 1. Put in freezer until ready to use or 2. divide into more manageable sized bottles and keep out only what you are working with.

I don't dilute my 100mg nic. I put it in 30ml amber glass bottles and take it out of the freezer as needed. The calculator tells me how many mls I need. But leaving at 100mg makes the math simple if I'm in a hurry or just mixing a quick shake and vape.

Where did you read that you "should" dilute it prior to mixing it? You certainly CAN but it's not a necessity. Are you concerned about handling 100 mg/ml nicotine? Because with gloves (and given that it's PG, not VG) it should be handled easily enough with the right DIY tools. In some ways it would be easier NOT to dilute it, and it would take up less storage space if you don't. If you are worried about quantities, you can divide it up into smaller containers....

It's not so much that it's a bad thing to do, but it does seem like an extra step that may not be necessary.

Good luck with what you decide to do.

He will be jonesing if that's what he meant! Pretty sure he was using 48mg base.
That was my first reaction when I read his post. However, there are a few that actually do vape that amount here on ECF. Few and far between but it does happen.

Plus I am wondering if he was used to working with 48mg, the 100mg is just about double of what he was doing. Not exactly, but close enough.

I went with 100mg out of the gate for the easy/lazy math. I personally see no valid reason to dilute the nic and expose it to more air, plus diluting it requires more shaking.
Depends on how he wants to use it. the 30ml 100mg bottle will produce almost 500ml of 6mg(10 bottles of 50ml) so maybe he has lots of flavors to try out. Heck, when I mix my ejuice 500ml is about standard on my mixing days. Only have to do it about every 6 months or so. I usually mix up 120ml at a time for each of my adv. So if I make 5 different mixes, thats 600ml of vapeable juice. I travel a lot so don't have a lot of time for mixing.

I'm envious, I'm still trying to get my preferred recipes down pat and mixing 20ml samples. My problem is just about every flavor I love needs 2-6 weeks of steeping. Right now I'm using high percentages to get a sense of the finished product. Then I can lower flavor % for longer steeps.

Suggestion: when you mix make 2 bottles, putting one in a dark place while vaping the other. That way you can check on the one steeping as it develops. Then when you decide which % is the one you like best and at what steeping time you are all set. It takes a little work, but its worth it.

Hey everyone first time poster. I have been making my own ejuice for awhile now, i was always using 48mg nic. I just ordered a 30 ml of amerinic 100mg nic pg base. I am just seeing how i would dilute it so my juice would be 6mg? Would i be better off not diluting it since it is only 30 ml. I make my juice 6 mg and 80 vg 20 pg. Not sure if this is the right part to be posting sorry if its not, any advice is appreciated.

Welcome and glad you joined.
Reading the articles about DIY can be confusing, the article below should help.

Thank you everyone for the input. Learned alot, just trying to get my head wrapped around this because i am in canada and not sure what they plan on doing about vaping laws. So i would like to order a big bottle of 100mg nic and store it so it will last me awhile. But i have decided to just use the 30 ml 100mg nic as is and fool around with it a bit. I like the throat hit but im also using a ijoy limitless sub ohm tank. And i will make sure im protected gloves, maskes etc... Thanks again everyone
