I purchased a bottle of dipropylene glycol thinking it was the same as PG. It was at a store that sells stuff for making soaps/perfume/body products.

Does anyone know if it is safe to use in place of propylene glycol? I'm guessing it's not good or it would have been discussed in this forum by now, but I don't want to throw it out if I can so something with it.

No. Just please no.

It is not the correct stuff. PG is proven safe (as safe we're gonna get, anyway) for use in vaping. This is not an area to be a trail blazer in.

Edit: I read the link after i replied. It is used in fog fluid. To quote PBusardo, "people have been breathing that s$%@ for years". It may be safe to inhale, but vapor from a drip tip gets in your lungs is at a much higher concentration than fog from being in a fogged area. I just wouldn't do it.
