I am not trying to post this as a poll question, but what type of hit preferable with an electronic cigarette? Meaning, when smoking with an electronic cigarette, is it more preferable to directly inhale to the lungs? Or, inhale to the mouth, then to the lungs, as a normal cigarette would require? The reason I ask this question is because certain devices allow more intake than others, from ones I have experimented with. I personally like hitting directly to the lungs, but do not know if electronic cigarette devices are designed for that purpose. Ultimately, I found one that is somewhat sufficient with what I want, but still required some modding with the atomizer to achieve the desired results. Any thoughts?

If you are enjoying the vape then you are doing it right. When people make suggestions about how to vape it's usually because the person vaping is having some issues. If memory serves, you can inhale directly like an analog or pull vapor into the mouth and then slowly inhale it.

Hi & Welcome to ECF! I agree with the above posts, whatever works best for the individual. Personally I've enjoyed playing around with different methods, juices, nic levels, PG/VG ratios, atty resistances, "cook times" etc. to find my current "comfort zone". Keep in mind (from what I've read on here on ECF), most of the nic absorption from vapor occurs in the mouth, throat & nasal passages and not so much in the lungs as with smoke. I'd suggest experimenting with whatever's available (& safe!) for your PV to find what works best for you. (I use a high nic - around 30mg - lots of flavor, at around 50%VG, 3.7 volts, 1.8 Ohm atty *usually*, but with a very short cook time, like 4 - 5 seconds with the button pressed. Usually hold vapor a moment before inhaling.)

Best of luck & Happy Vaping! :vapor:

Analogs I always did the two step. E-cig I go straight for the lungs as it seems that's the only way I get enough vapor for my preference. I'm sure it has alot to do with being so inexperienced when it comes to the setup I use. I've been analog free from my first vape though, so something's working right.

I do the two step method, because direct inhaling on my Provari will make me cough up a lung. I've let friends who are smoking try it, and have yet to see one of them manage a direct inhale with out coughing like crazy, even after I warned them not to do it that way. :) I can direct inhale on my older PVs, especially the kr808d. The GoGo, Ego, and my passthrough are manageable with non LR gear but not much fun to hit that way.
