So I have my first clearomizer, a Kanger Mini Pro tank 2 (V1), and I am trying to figure out the proper way to disassemble it for cleaning purposes. From the instructional videos I've seen, it seems like there should be a way to remove the center tube that comes up from the atomizer, but I'll be damned if I can figure this out....

From what I gather, I should be able to slide off the little rubber gasket and then wiggle the center tube out somehow, which would then give me better visibility of and access to the actual wicks and coil. Maybe I'm misunderstanding and this piece is not removable on the mini - can anyone advise please?

If it is in fact removable, any tips for getting that sucker to budge? Thanks

It is removable for sure. Unscrew the coil head from the base, set everything else safely to the side (the first time you wiggle the center post loose, it can be a bit sudden, and I've been known to knock a thing or two over), and place a paper towel underneath where you're working (to catch the two flavour wicks, when tend to just fall out when my heads pop open).

Remove the little gasket and set it aside. Hold the threaded base of the coil between thumb and forefinger so that those two fingers are roughly perpendicular to the wicks -- that is to say, your fingers should be in the no-wick areas on either side of the coil head. You may want to use a bit of paper towel here as the edge around the middle of the coil can be a bit sharp.

Now using your other hand's thumb and forefinger, grip the grooved tube solidly and slowly wiggle in the direction of your other fingers (the ones that are in the no-wick zone). It's not really a 'wiggle,' more of a 'push in one direction, then the other.' Eventually it will give in one of the sides, and you should feel a muted click or bump as it loosens; when that happens, try to get a click in the opposite side. Usually after two or three left-right clicks, it just pops off.

Don't use TOO much force in your pushes/wiggles, as you might loosen the receiving end, and it can be hard to squeeze it back so it's just right again. So long as you only apply force in the opposite direction of the last click/bump, it should come out without incident.

Hope this makes sense, and helps. It's not complicated, but videos make it seem a bit easier than it is (especially the first time), and it's wordy to explain.
