You can make coils/wicks for all of the clearomizers with replaceable heads. Two problems though. Tiny space to work with, and you need two kinds of wire in there. The resistance wire for the coil and non-resistance wire for the "legs". If you just used the wire that gets hot, it would burn the silicone grommet that separates the neg and pos wire on the bottom of the head. There's not enough room to just twist the wires together though.

If you know nothing about soldering or electronics (like me when I found that thread), it might be faster to find someone who can make it for you. Or, learning a new skill is never a bad thing.
Either way, try out the cotton on the protank first to see how you like it. You'll probably love it, and you can easily keep replacing the wick until you either figure out the welder thing or just continue buying replacement heads and switch out the wick. Hope this helps some!
