Generally, military policy is to treat vaping like smoking. The Air Force has outright prohibited it inside buildings and you must go to a designated smoking area in order to vape. Not sure what the Army or Navy policy is, but I do believe those branches are also starting to crack down on vaping.

To be fair, my interview is with Dell, just on a military base. It is all civilians.

I thought this thread was going to be a discussion of whether or not you should vape during an interview.

Made me laugh recalling a job interview in 1970-something, where the new boss lit a fat cigar, gave me another to smoke, then proceeded to pour us a couple of drinks from the bottle of Jack Daniel's in his desk ...

It was not a trap, he really did that for any visitor, and his boss did the same ...

It was maybe the best job I ever had, we completed projects in weeks that would take years now ... :2cool:

Last week I interviewed with a company from France - 3 of their people were here in L.A. so I went to see them for the interview. One of them was vaping throughout, though stealthily. :) Before I left I showed him my Provari.

P.S. I pretty much have the job, we're just in contract revisions. :toast:

If at all possible, I would try to find out about their smoking policy prior to the interview. Regardless of their policy, i would not bring the subject up. Many companies view vaping as smoking. I recently had a medical check-up, my doctor asked if I was still smoking. I stated no, told her about the e-cig, she told me, you are still smoking. Apparently we have a disagreement here. In reference to retired1 above, I think all branches of the military are cracking down on smoking and vaping. I would imagine it originates at DoD.
