Well Kash Um sure it dont feel good to get your PIF not fulfilled but I think most of the people here are good honest people. As for it filling kinda "clique-ish" EEeeh....some people have been here longer then others, post more often or just alil more sociable then others.Ive only been with PIF for maybe a month and I dont post much but ive had member help me out. I cant say ive ever felt unwelcome or brushed off here.Maybe get in there alil more or just make yourself alil more pronounced. :)

Ok...back to the not sending PIF thing...I myself have only PIF'd once last week.I sent my offer out and hopefull I get my pif. I think there should be a time period to send your pif out.I dont think it would be unfair if you sent yours out the next day and yours gets sent out next month or something unreasonable.Maybe a week should be more then enough time to send out your pif. Then the package should take no more then 2 weeks to get to you{a week to ship it out and a week for the mailman to get it to you}. I think this would lessen the excuses game that thos who dont intend to send anything give you.Inless they PM you and give a valid reason why your package wont be on time. But in the end if someone dont wanna live up to their PIF agreement then there's not much you can do then tell a mod and let them deal with it.In participating in the pif's take n offer thread I cant say theres no risk involved. But i do think its a small risk.

Well i hope to see you more in the PIF forum and hope all works out for you.

I agree, there is probably a 'cliquish' look to the group (at times more than others).

I think some of that is because; some people post more, some respond more, and some just act plain silly and create friendships. But I don't think anyone is intentionally trying to leave out anyone.
Sometimes we may be leary of new posters.... it's possible to be taken, and some of us have been. I know I am more likely to offer something to someone that I have seen post more, or whose join date is older, but that doesn't mean that I avoid all newcomers. Quite the opposite, I try and welcome the newbies. Some of them have the same join date/time as me! I just happen to have more time to be online (no job, have to rest often).

there are SO many good folks here.

To be completely honest, (and this may get me some flack), but there are several people I don't particularly care for/agree with-- and there have been times I have gotten so fed up with things, that I've needed to take a break. But in spite of that, given the whole generosity (in general) of the people of ECF (and this is a FANTASTIC forum), I happen to believe that some of the most giving and caring ones gravitate to our little PIF group.... and that's saying a lot!

So, K, take a break, take a deep breath, and come back, please.

Kashmoney, it is a shame that happened to you. It is so disappointing to feel that you have been deliberately misled.

In any situation in life there are people who will exceed our expectations, and people who will not live up to our expectations. If we judge all by the actions of one, then we are shortchanging ourselves on something that could potentially be a positive experience.

I have only been a ecf member for a couple of weeks, but perhaps that gives me a bit of perspective on being an outsider. I have been frankly amazed by the overwhelming kindness and patience that the "regs" here have shown, not only to me, but to so many people who post their questions, concerns, victories and just plain stories.

The generosity that I have seen displayed by the PIF forum members here is absolutely astounding. Perhaps there does seem to be a bit of a clique, but it appears that it has evolved through the members pulling together to answer a need or crisis. That kind of esprit de corps is rare, but not necessarily exclusive. I think these kind people are more than happy to make room for more kind people.

Why not give the whole thing another go and see if this time you don't feel differently?

wow...this is a bummer... i know who it is too now.. and i have sent something as a gift.. but whatever.. is it possible that it got lost in the mail?? i mean i dont do tracking #s or anything, and if a package i sent gets lost, i would hate to be banned.. I guess i am naive ..gullible, and try to look for the good, i guess thats why i get hurt alot. I am very sorry this has happened to u kash, and i truly believe that this group is an awesome (family) to belong to. and if u stick around, the reward will be greater than the loss!!
Blessings, Missy

Unfortunately I think it's important to add tracking. If you have a postal scale, you can get it for free if you buy postage online, otherwise it's about $.40 IIRC. That $.40 is well worth it in order to avoid problems. I haven't done it yet, but I am strongly considering it. I've had a few packages disappear on me, two in two weeks in fact. One showed up (3 weeks later), the other never did. I didn't get mad or anything, just let the sender know.

I think that the tracking could help eliminate that problem though, and leaves the postal service liable. It's not perfect, but it's proof something has been sent and/or never arrived. I'm not sure that I'd want to see a tracking mandate, but I do think it could be helpful to protect everyone.

Most of what we send will weigh between 3-5oz so I just bought a cheap food scale. I weighed the packages and went to Postage Price Calculator and checked the amount of postage for each package. When I weighed them I rounded up to the nearest ounce. When I took the packages to the Post Office I checked my figures with what the PO said it would cost and they were all right on. I bought some $.44 and $.17 stamps so I'll have the right postage for sending from home. I think that will work out well for the time being and it was cheap!

I for one would be willing to send something her way to make up for the blunder of another. That's what PIF is about.

PS:

Tracking here is .70.. still worth it but it can become costly. Especially if you are very active in PIF, as I am. I do feel more comfortable when I get delivery confirmation, but I think in the future it will really depend on what is being sent. 2 - 3 3ml bottles aren't hard to make-up if a package goes missing for instance... a set of hardware is.

Lilith, you missed the add-on from the original poster (not the 2nd poster):

25ml of High Dekang menthol
5ml of 20-25mg DIYflaorshack jagerbomb
5ml of 20-25mg DIYflavorshack buttered popcorn

adding 3ml 24mg sample of MFS flue cured

I have two 3ml samples (regular and menthol) that I will be receiving from a PIF I did today that I can contribute as soon as I receive them.

I think sometimes the postal service does loose things..so, i don't think someone missing one pif would be ban worthy...after all, it is a gift. People get busy, things happen...please dont let one bad experience spoil the whole idea of this group.

Everyone here i've dealt with has been so great...it's sad to see this experience from someone.

So sorry it happened, but like i said, please don't let it spoil your whole experience with this group. It is a fantastic group and the spirit of the foundation of this group of people is amazing.
