Most of what's been chewed over here is really common sense. A PM takes less than a minute. Just let the person know you've run into a snag.

I will add an additional :2c:

I think it's courteous to PM people and let them know when the package they have sent arrives as well. And thank them.

I wasn't allowed to play with new toys or spend $$ when I was a kid until I had my thank you letters written. That lesson stuck with me I guess.
This would be so much easier if we put our screen names somewhere on the packages. There are times when I do LOTS of trades , PIFS and wants and needs. some through private messages lol! Its hard to keep up with what is coming from who. I do appreciate all the goodies I get but I must admit there are days I am so confused! I have started to try to put my screen name on outgoings!

I have been guilty of not getting a PIF out in a timely manner. Just recently I had two PIFs that I thought had been mailed and found them behind my desk. They were accepted on 6/3 and 6/4 and I did not get them out till 6/19 at which time I pm'd both people and told them what had happened and that they were in the mail.
I also have been one who has not remembered to email senders when I have received their PIFs.
That being said, I am thinking of refraining from PIFing so as not to offend anyone..

Ya I have recently experienced some health issues in my family and school has kept me busy so I havent been able to get a PIF out to an indvidual but I did pm him and let him know of my reason for not sending it. To my surprise he responded with well " you are gonna put me in a bind but that is ok I guess and hope things get better with your family health issues" Im sorry but life for me becomes way before this PIF stuff and I felt like I was doing the right thing and beng nice and sending him out a message and explaining my recent family unexpected health issues but in doing so recieved a very rude response so ya I will send out the package to the individual as soon as I can as I stated in the pm but I will no longer be par taking in the PIF forum on this forum. Hope everyone is having a great week thus far!!

Is this the "very rude" email?

Re: PIF
Well Earl this is kinda getting me in a pinch. Im running low on cartos and when i saw you offer sum in pif, i had to jump on the offer. But all in all i understand. Just send them out to me asap.

Im sorry to hear of your troubles and pray that things will get better.

There seems to be some misunderstanding. I didnt not mean to come off rude at all. I know life comes before PIF and i do understand family is more important then anything. If my response to you seemed rude then please except my apology. I really wouldnt want you to stop PIF'ing over a misscomunication. I know my response was brief but i in no way was i trying to offend you and I do thank you for letting me know about the package delay. And i do hope to see you again in pif and do pray that thing will get better for you and your family.

I posted this here instead of PM'ing Hang cuz i know people will put 2 n 2 together and i dont want anyone to think im rude or untrustworthy by reading that post. I have dealt with some of you and i do know that thos who i have chat'ed with know my character.I'm just here to meet new friends and improve my vaping experience. And would NEVER try to be rude to anyone.

Im sorry for posting this here but I felt I had to offer my side if the story,

After reading this thread I have decided to join PIF. I have a lot of time on my hands and lots of juices to get rid of. And I think that anyone willing to give and not expect anything in return is a great person, no matter how small it is. I have heard the rumors about PIF being cliquey and whatnot but I doubt it would matter much to me even if it were (which it doesn't seem like to me... There are some great people in PIF) the point seems to be to give as much as you can and when you are in need you will be taken care of, isn't that the golden rule anyway?! I hope the OP got everything worked out and that reading all of this and seeing everyone willing to correct someone else's wrong will make her feel a lot better about this whole thing. Peace

I for one would be willing to send something her way to make up for the blunder of another. That's what PIF is about.

PS:

Tracking here is .70.. still worth it but it can become costly. Especially if you are very active in PIF, as I am. I do feel more comfortable when I get delivery confirmation, but I think in the future it will really depend on what is being sent. 2 - 3 3ml bottles aren't hard to make-up if a package goes missing for instance... a set of hardware is.

Same here and I usually forego it if it isn't paid for or traded for.

OK, there are so many good and valid points, and other things I wanted to address,

But this....

)the point seems to be to give as much as you can and when you are in need you will be taken care of, isn't that the golden rule anyway?!

...just made me cry. (PITA hormones)

Someone I spoke to just the other day, said this very same thing. Personally I think it's the core basis of our group, and the very thing that keeps us coming back again and again. Even when we are disullioned, even when we get mad, sad, busy, etc .. I think this basic statement is what calls us back.
The desire to help, and the need to belong.

Yes, Xanax, I think this is the golden rule, and we have found a little way to make that a real part of our lives here. Glad you decided to join us :) welcome :)

It's so great to see you here, but shame on you for making Leannebug CRY! LOL!

I, as well as many others, look forward to PIFing with you :)

Congratulate!

Hmmm, I wonder if I could pull of that color?? Oh wait I meant Emulate!

Sure, why not? My mom went to beauty school and had taught me to cut & color my hair, so I've been doing it ever since I was 12 or so. I think I've had every color known to man: blonde, black, pink, green, purple, brown.
