News from Disney today to treat e-cigarettes like traditional cigarettes. :( The updated rules clarify that e-cigarettes, like traditional cigarettes, are allowed in designated smoking locations only. This policy change is for the Disneyland Resort in CA and Walt Disney World Resort in FL.

For a comprehensive review of Disney Parks Rules on or after September 24, please visit www dot disneyland dot com/parkrules and www dot disneyworld dot com/parkrules (sorry I can't post the links).

I have no plans on going to Disney anytime soon but I took my kids to Universal Studio's a little over a year ago. I was a smoker at the time. I didn't take any smokes into the park with me because I knew there would be very limited smoking areas and plus, I just didn't want to deal with it. Nor did I want to tell my kids "wait.. let me smoke first". I'm glad I didn't take any too. I'm a big boy.. I can wait. Plus I got soaked too. Would have ruined a pack of smokes OR soaked any vape gear I'd had on me if I was a vaper at the time.

Welcome!

I'm used to being abused, I mean having to deal with "policies", so I am not surprised one bit. There is a park not far from me (just a nature trail/pavilion deal) that has a big sign "no smoking/vaporizer use"

Meh. Just so they can complain that vapers are just as sickly as smokers. Which is not surprising, when they kick us out in the rain, cold, and snow (depending on where you are). I smoked for 25 years. I'm not all of a sudden going to snub smokers. I know how it is.

I both agree and disagree with this. There are some people out there who give vapers a bad name. Punk kids who think its okay to cloud chase and then blow it in people's faces. (btw I have nothing against cloud chasing, but just be respectful of other people) But I also don't feel that we should have to be forced to be in a small area (smoking areas are always so small at places like this!) with analog users. I just feel that more people need to understand that we (vapers) are NOT smokers. We don't want to be around smoke and smokers any more then non-smokers do. If places want to give us our own Vaping area, awesome. But its not fair to stick us with smokers after we made the choice to turn to vaping.

Resort management, as feedback such as yours is taken very seriously.

She actually sent me an email and called me so I was able to talk to her. I did mention that I have no problem with the policy and following it but maybe we could have a separate area. I'm actually very happy with the way they handle it.
