Hey, my name's Ryan and I'm new to the forums. I have a question about the coil on disposable vapes.
I'm used to box mods. I have a Revenger X mod, so I'm used to all the coils and disassembly and all that.
However, a friend of mine uses disposable vapes, and I tried one of hers and really enjoyed the hit. I bought one myself. They're the "blow disposable stix." I personally got the strawberry mango flavor.
I've had it for a few days, and I've enjoyed it. However, the flavor is now extremely burnt tasting. I kinda thought that this was something I wouldn't have to worry about since the wattage is fixed. And I don't really believe I'm hitting it too hard or frequently, although it could definitely be running out of juice by now. However, I was told that the indicator light on the bottom will flash when it's gone.
I'm really hoping that its something I can fix, because if one of these ends like that, I'm going to be disappointed and I'll probably never buy one again.
If there are any ways to fix it, I'd love to give it a shot. But if I just got a bad one, it was only $10 and good while it lasted. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to ECF, Ryan Parrott. Could be the liquid level is too low to be picked up by whatever wicking is used in that device, but not low enough to hit the 'E' mark. Are you sure there's an indicator LED for the liquid level? Most devices flash when the battery is too low. The flavor of the e-liquid probably has a high sugary content and will clog the channels fairly quickly. What kind of e-liquid does your friend use? How long does it last her? The bottom line though is it's a good thing you're only out 10 bucks.

I've got no constructive comments about this subject. I'm just here to say that I love the thread title, i clicked to find out what "disposable newbie question" looked like. Though on second thought I feel like I got click baited a little.
I know. I felt like saying our newbies are not disposable. Then, I read the post.

Hello @Ryan Parrott, the burnt taste is an issue in general with coils. It's due to a lot of factors and is a sign that the wicking in the coil is wicking the liquid inefficiently and nearing the end of it's life.

So, it's next coil or mod time please.

May we ask what tank you're using with your proper mod please? As it may be that it's not exactly a good fit for your vaping style, maybe an Innokin Zlide or Aspire Nautilus GT or the likes may be a better fit for you.
