I understand that the order was not shipped out quickly. Did the vendor give an explanation? Was a flavor out of stock? When it was shipped was it shipped express? 8kenvape has always shipped my orders out in a timely fashion. I have had quicker service from e-cig vendors than from another inteernet vendors. I just placed an order with Vermont Vapor, 2 hours later it had shipped.
Did you read my part about sending TWO emails and putting on note on the order? NO, they didn't respond but now, you understand the gist of my observation, lack of communication.

You know, I love Isaac and IkenVape, but I can understand where Torque is coming from, too. He ordered a product and paid extra for shipping, then didn't get it and he says he hasn't had any response to his communications. I would be just a little ticked off, too. Since I know that Isaac runs a small operation (which Torque didn't know), I order things before I'm running low or absolutely need them. This was Torque's FIRST TIME ordering and he did so based on the reviews from those of us who love the IKV product line. I follow his Twitter and I read the IKV sub-forum to keep up to date with when he'll be out of town or when orders are backlogged.

I'm sorry that this didn't work out for you, Torque, but please, give Isaac another chance! His products really are top notch and I've had dealings with him that were wonderful. I bought some LR 510 cartos from him and one was defective because it had no air vents. I posted in the sub-forum and sent him an email. It wasn't a big deal because I had four other cartos that just blew me away. I told him that I would just include the replacement the next time I ordered. He sent ONE replacement to me at his expense. Maybe it's not a big deal, but it made an impression with me.

I can understand your frustration and I've gone through the same thing myself, although with another vendor and a different issue. Most of these guys are small outfits trying to do their best for us. I guess what I'm trying to say is please don't give up on him. I know I sound like a "fan-girl" and maybe I am, but haven't you ever botched something and wanted a second chance?

I think the problem is 2 fold.

1) Torque got sub par service. This is a very valid issue. His complaint is justified. Switching to e-cigs is a learning experience, which is why forums like this are so important to the industry, so Torque took the advice and reviews on this forum into consideration on where to order. Unfortunately his order slipped through the cracks. Unfortunately this occurs to someone ordering from anything from big box stores to small independent "mom n pop" stores. Torque's experience is probably a one in a thousand order slip, but that doesn't make his issue to him any more or less important to him. Should he have ordered in advance to make sure he had his juice on time? Sure. Should he expect at least some response to his emails? Absolutely. Will he use this as a learning experience that sometimes this occurs? I hope so. :)

2) Everyone's reaction to his complaint. Some of the responses were "well you should have planned ahead" are absolutely justified. The problem comes into play where even though such a response assists Torque with his ordering patterns in the future, they are completely irrelevant. The fact is that whether or not he ordered ahead of time is really not at issue here. The issue is that he experienced a problem with a vendor. Lets put aside the fact that he didn't have his juice for his trip. Lets just say he didn't leave the country and he had over 500ml of juice in his stash. Does that make his complaint any less valid? The guy had a bad experience, abet a rare once in a thousand slip of the vendor. This is what I think upsets Torque more than the actual problem with the vendor.

All I'm saying here is that sometimes people don't take a step back and read what they type out here before hitting the "post" button. I know I've done it myself, so hopefully people will read this and evaluate their word choices and be a little more understanding to people who may have an issue.

I didn't "throw him 20 bucks", it was an option on his site. You can select express mail service. What I'm saying is, Don't charge people for this option if you can't give a higher level of service. I could have gone with regular mail. That would have been my problem right? But I didn't.

I did email him, twice, and also put a note on the order. He never responded.

ya learn something every day, my bad I never new this option existed on Issacs website, living so close to him I never would need it but that doesn't cover me from being wrong about this, I have to agree with you and your point about the express shipping, you didnt throw $20 at him my bad on that part, sorry Torque

Hey thanks. I will give him a chance. Thanks for the fair shake

To threadjack this, I read "more" into it than was necessary. I took a stab in the dark that this attributed to his dissatisfaction. Otherwise, I'm sure one can be patient when dealing with mail order businesses.

I'm sure they will refund your $20 just ask for regular shipping. Don't feel dumb everyone makes mistakes. Next time your visit a store just be sure to read their twitter messages because they ussually explain shipping delays and special offers.

I was a little apprehensive about posting in such a dramatic thread :) but I just wanted to say that I'm a little on your side here Torque, people are saying that you 'failed to prepare', but in my book, ordering something a week before you need it and paying an extra $20 for express shipping IS preparing. I would have been upset too if it took someone 4 days to ship an express order that cost you 20 bucks more. Sorry this happened to you Torque, and I totally get it.

However, it sounds like this guy has a lot of happy customers too, from what I've read (I have no personal experience with ikenvape yet) so I would give him another chance, it sounds like if you explain what happened, he'll make it up to you too.

Just my opinions please nobody kill me lol :)

Ok, so I liked the post about throwing $20 at him until I learned there is a payment option so I retract that lol. But I have to agree with Clinton totally on ordering Sunday Night, paying 20 dollars for express shipping "option" and expecting it by Friday is being prepared.

One thing I didn't read though, is does it say on his site that he is out of town and business is closed? I mean I'm sure there are a lot of people out there ordering juice, accessories and the works that aren't a part of the forum or don't even have an interest in forums. Those same people could spend money on express shipping expecting it to be there and then be disappointed.

Hopefully this thread will serve a purpose and help Isaac out with deciding to keep it or not or to at least make sure a warning is clear on his site that he's out of town and maybe he can take the express shipping option off or something you know.

Torque- I'm really sorry this happened, but I think this is a rarity. I am a satisfied IKV customer and know how quickly his stock sells and how long it takes to restock. You couldn't have ordered the juice but 2 days earlier as it was out of stock, as were many of his attys & cartos. When he did get the stock up I'm sure he was slammed with orders that Friday night as we were all hitting refresh on his site;-). Being a new customer, you probably were not aware of these things.

He makes a very high quality product and the fact he is often sold out proves the vaping community agrees. He is a good guy and I believe he will make good on this. Timing is what is bad on both sides. You are leaving country, he is traveling to Vapefest in FL, and he had massive orders to get out. Being ill has not helped either. Does any of this justify what happened....no. It's bad luck and bad timing. I'm so sorry you have to go without your juice and like others, hope you can find something good overseas.

Have a great trip!

This is just a general suggestion. Many of these ecig companies are one-person businesses. And lots of them are not fast. Lots of them have to deal with shows and family care issues between running their company. At least one was caring for a dying spouse and another said they are in a similar situation. I recommend next time you need special service to call before ordering. Then you will know if they can handle your request before you order.

All I want is a good Ry4. When I get back home from Brussels, I'm sure the package from Ikenvape will be on my desk at work. I already know it's going to be great from all the reviews. What I'll do is re-order a quart or two and keep it on hand so I won't go through this again. I've spent well over 600 bucks in ecigs over the last 18 days but never focused on juice. Now, that I have a new Reo, I plan to find the best juice, and from near as I can tell, I found it.
Sorry to start this firestorm but am very pleased about how fair and balanced it is. People came out from both sides and there;s nothing wrong with dialogin a bit. Thanks to all the people that read my post. All I was trying to do was point out a shipping option that failed, that's all. Maybe my little Italian from NJ came out. I thought I left him behind when I moved to VA 25 years ago but he comes out sometimes. The good news is I vaped all the way from Appalachia to Antwerp last night. Vaped in Cville a/p, vaped in the Atlanta Crown Room toilet. Nearly blew my brains out with the new Reo by the way. I did not vape on the plane although I could have. I realize as a vaper, I have an obligation to uphold our image out there in the public.

I got picked up by my driver in Brussels a/p this morning. An old friend that always greets me with a double espresso and a ready pack of Reds. He was absolutely blown away when I pulled out my Reo. He couldn't believe I quit as we usually chain smoked all the way from the a/p to my hotel. I had him hitting on my Reo and we was offering to buy it from me on the spot. I told him I'll have him one in July but he's got to do the research about where to get juice in Belgium. It's a short hop by plane to the UK so he said not to worry as long as they sell juice there, he'll fly out, get a gallon and bring it back.

This thing is amazing, the camaraderie, the support of this forum are beyond my expectations. Oh, and when I fly back on Saturday, I fly home with a short detour through Amsterdam. They gots great espresso there too. Once a hippie, always a hippie I always said...

All you need is love

Just as a follow-up. My package somehow wound up being routed to Tampa, Florida, where it was discovered and routed back to Virginia, where I originally wanted it shipped to. Doesn't really matter now, I'm now in Belgium this week, still vaping crappy juice. Looks like it might arrive tomorrow as the package is now in Richmond. Long story short, still have not heard from Ikenvape, still paid 21.95 for express shipment and today is 8 days since I ordered it.

It was finally delivered and accepted by my secretary today. The routing went to Tallahasee, not Tampa, sorry. Florida non the less. I have the tracking information. Since today is Tuesday and I ordered it last Sunday night, it took 9 days after I ordered it and still, have not received a reply nor apology or otherwise from Ikenvape. I don't care how good their stuff is, this is wrong. $21.95 for express shipping is a fail and I don't think I'll get over this one. There are other juice and atty vendors out there. It's really not the money, it's the principle of the thing.
