After being on a pre order and waiting almost 3 months I finally received my Russian 91% just a few days ago. Maybe my anticipation built it up to be better than I should've expected. Built it 4 times. 4 different builds. The best so far has been 1.8 ohm 8/7? wrap micro with cotton. Tried tweaking with the air flow. Seems like my diver is still a better atty, in terms of volume, density, flavor, the divers clouds are bigger, thicker, juicier and more flavorful. And I just can't get my head around it?!?! The russian is easier to build on. Is similar to the diver in terms of air flowing from directly under the coil. Has a reduced size atomization chamber. Both chambers choke approaching the tips. the russian has better liquid porting.

What am I doing wrong?

60/40. My build is very similar but 8 wraps because I only have 30ga kanthal. Maybe that's my problem? I think I have some 24 ga laying around somewhere...

If you have a drill, try out a twisted microcoil with that 30g. Also, if youre using on a mech, 1.2 ohms is what you want to shoot for. Otherwise, I agree. Flavor is better in my Diver V2. It's nothing other than the blessing of ceramic cups.

The build I posted there has solved my problems. I have had a lot of issues with getting a balance of good air flow, good vapor production, and good flavor, but this build has resolved all my issues. Is it a cloud monster like my RSST with 5 wraps 24Ga kanthal and mesh/ceramic/hemp,my trident clone with 6 wraps of 24Ga on an 1/8" bit mounted vertically with a piece of XC-116 through it, or my horizontal hemp wick of the same coil in the IGO-W? No it's not and I feel it will never be because of the air flow restrictions, but it's reliable and gives me good flavor. It it is the best set up I have tried. The air goes through the deck, straight through the coils, up the chimney to the mouth piece.

I was getting heaps of dry harsh hits even at 1.8ohm on the silica wick, tried ecowool- not much better. Cotton seems to have solved that problem. I don't plan on going below 1 ohm. The .85 ohm ribbon was actually going for 1.2, after about half a dozen draws I noticed the heat and won't be doing that again.
