Diy 510 drip mod

i dont know if this has been mentioned here i got this tip from another forum ill post the link after, but i thought it was brill for 2 reasons you can clean out the carts with this the amount of juice in there took me by surprise and 2 i cant afford to buy a drip tip and this is the most cost effective way to get one, i will copy below exactley what was said:

"Take a 510 cart, pop the end cap off with a pin(i prefer to use my teeth, just bite down on it and it'll come off) inside there's a pastic ring with an hole in it, pry this out with the pin.
If you look inside there's a ledge that runs from 1 end of the cart to the other, this cant be taken out unless you drill it. Make sure the cart is aligned with bowl in the atty, then drip 2 or 3 drops down from the top. Drops will hit the ledge and drip down, the contoured shape of the cart at the bottom will ensure the liquid hits the bridge or the bowl in my case. Takes 2 minutes tops."

I do not understand how drips go from the bottom of the filler chamber (drilled, suppose) to the atomizer bridge. Should I drill until the cartridge is shaped as a perfect cylinder or drill only a hole?

I did the mod eliminating all filler/liquid chamber bottom. It seems to work. I do not know if drips are reaching atomizer bridge or are falling to the brick. Now I'm thinking in eliminating the chamber walls too so the drips do not stop or stick on them. Finally, I think I'll get an empty cylinder.

My problem with drip tips is that I don't like their shape. I like the flat external shape of cartridges. Please, if anybody knows the existence of a flat drip tip, let me know. Thank you.

I've seen this method a few times over the forums. I think the design of the two holes and plastic tops
were meant for separating the liquid from the mouth. I guess it's ok as long as all the drips fall onto the atty
and don't get stuck on the ledge.
