I have been thinking very seriously about DIYing my own juices. Is the beginner kit from RTS the place to start or are there other options? At present I currently vape unflavored but am not averse to trying flavored. My thoughts are if I decide that flavored is not my cup of tea at least I will have the necessary tools to use as I intend to purchase 100mg nicotine and would have to dilute to my nicotine level. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanxz

You can make DIY as simple or as complicated as you wish .... your choice.

    I use the KISS method.
I swiped a measuring cup & some pint canning jars from the kitchen.
    50ml of 100mg nicotine/PG
    150ml of PG
    200ml of VG
    ____________________
    400ml of 50/50 PG/VG @ 12mg base in a pint jar.

I then extract 30ml of the base liquid with a large irrigation syringe to fill my juice bottles when needed, and add flavoring concentrate to my individual taste. (1 drop of concentrate/2ml of liquid ... 15 drops/30ml)

    Hi Azzaziahand welcome aboard!

To answer your other question, the beginner's kit looks like a nice one - especially to start.

Hope it helps and Happy Vaping!

    Welcome Azzaziah!

The RTS kit has some good stuff in there. I googled "diy mixing kit e juice" and found a number of options. Heartland Vapes and DIY Flavor Shack also seem to have "goodies" combined.

I use disposable pipettes, and when I first started, I recycled my bottles from the juice I purchased until I could start stocking up on glass bottles. I mix in my bottles, although many subscribe to the philosophy of using beakers or other larger containers in which to mix.

Your choice of flavor bases (LorAnn, Capella, Flavour Art, TFA, FlavorWest, etc.) might dictate whether you can get by with "single-flavor" mixes or if you need multiple flavors to complement in a mix. I have a few Cap flavorings that I really like as stand-alones. My TFA flavors - I need a number of different flavors to comprise a mix.

I'd start with smaller sizes of flavorings. You can ALWAYS mix unflavored - just get a nic base and some PG and/or VG to get the ratio and nic level you want. If you add some flavoring to THAT, you'll slightly dilute the nic level and may alter the PG/VG ratio somewhat, but you may not even notice the difference. TJ has great advice on KISS. Sir2 has great links for reference.....

Good luck and vape on :vapor:

I really enjoy DIY :) Here is a good kit to get you started without costing an arm and a leg :
Nude-Approved DIY Starter Kit - Basic - Nude Nicotine

This vendor has some of the finest ingredients I've encountered -- get the BRY4 flavor -- its one of my absolute favorites !!

you might also want look at building a magnetic stirrer -- it will save you countless hours of bottle shaking and steeping your juices

I didn't like a lot of the starter kits that were offered when I began diy-ing. Get your bases and a few (maybe 3) flavors that appeal to you and simply start there. PG and VG are cheap and premix nic would be a good idea for someone learning just so you keep the ratios at safe levels in case a measurement is incorrect. Try a few basic flavors like strawberry, peach or grape and see what appeals to you. There's always time to work on clone flavors and super multi mixes that take 3 weeks to steep.

I am a huge fan of RTS Vapes. I have been buying from them for about 4 years now. They are an excellent option IMO Don't forget to use code firstorder to get 20% off PG, VG and Nic on your first order. Plus, you get 6% rewards back to use on a future purchase.

    Good luck!
