DIY battery contacts for woden box mod

Hey guys. so im in the process of making the plans for building my own wooden box mod. Rather then using a premade plastic sled like a keystone. I was interested in housing my batteries in something like below. But for the life of me i cannot find any info on how to build and wire battery contacts. could someone please, please give me some information on how to do this or point me to some resources. I can only figure so much out by starring at the picture.

Hard to believe you have NO battery operated devices in your home. To look at how the battery compartment is made and wired. I mean take apart a flashlight or a lamp. Because that is what you are replicating with your mod. The difference being you have a bare coil they have a coil in glass bulb.

Here's how to make those contacts. Go to hardware store and get a sheet of metal, preferable copper. Out of that cut your contact.. Roughly, a flat U shape, with long legs. Make legs about 2x as long or more as the dept of the box. Solder a wire to the base of the U. Attach piece to bottom of box. fold and trim legs, to fit.
