DIY cartomizer doesn't seem as good as pre-filled ones

So I watched the video on refilling a cartomizer and filled up my used cartomizers with 24 mg nic ejuice but they don't seem as good as the pre-filled ones sold by suppliers. Is this normal or could it be that I'm doing something wrong when I'm refilling the cartos?

Depends on your filling method and/or how much you are trying to refill your cartomizers with.

Myself, I use the condom cart fill method, but only fill about 15 drops at a time. I have to refill a bit more often, but:

a) I never flood the cart and waste juice
b) I never have to try hard to prime the atty

i use a syringe, and my refills are as good as prefills... now. but it did take a little practice. have you tried lettin' them sit a few hours? i found when i was starting out with refilling that helped a lot; now it's helpful but not as necessary.

I find my refills to be better than the prefills. But, as Belletrist said, I let them sit at least a day before I use them.

My refilled cartomizers are always better then the prefilled ones and I think its the juice that makes the difference. A good quality juice with some vg in it will give you lots more vapor than a prefilled. I ran out of my good stuff and had to use another type while waiting on my order. I kept thinking my battery was going bad but in fact it was just crappy juice.
