Quit a 25 year analog habit 3 months ago and after having tried a good amount of stock from many well respected vendors, I have gotten to the point where I wanted to try making my own e-juice. I ordered some flavorings from TFA, nic from RTS Vapes, pg from Tractor Supply and VG from Wal-Mart. I vape primarily on a diy 3.7v box mod with a LR 306 atty. In making and subsequently trying my diy ejuice, I ran into a couple of oddities that I hope someone can help answer...
1. One of the flavors I got was TFA Red Bull, mixed at 20% in 70/30 pg/vg. Smells great, first couple of toots are good, but then it totally loses flavor. If I put it away and come back, same thing. Have let it steep for a couple of days and it had no impact. What can I do (or what did I do wrong) to make the flavor stay?
2. Since I drip in the 306, I usually let it get a little on the dry side before I put more drops in (have gotten pretty good at getting it to the "one toot away from nasty" point). I am used to and can recognize the dry atty flavor... but with this diy juice that I made, that dry atty flavor has become almost like a chemical solvent flavor. Takes UCK to a whole new level. Any ideas on what might be causing that and how I can prevent it?
TIA
Wulf
