Hey Gang! Just started making my own juice, and I am finding most mixes to taste very much like veggies-

Here are my mixes so far....

Making 5ml of juice

60/40 PG/VG base- 3.2ml
36mg Nicotine (100% PG) - .8ml
TFA Cheesecake (Graham Crust)- .5ml
TFA Cheesecake- .5ml

Do i need to let it steep maybe? Any help much appreciated!!!

You guys rock

Steep? Absolutely. Let it sit in a Cool Dark Place for at Least 3 ~ 5 Days.

Also, with a Recipe like this...

60/40 PG/VG base- 3.2ml
36mg Nicotine (100% PG) - .8ml
TFA Cheesecake (Graham Crust)- .5ml
TFA Cheesecake- .5ml

... you might consider adding some Sweetener. I like TFA Sweetener which is Sucralose and PG.

Always remember that flavor is a personal thing.

The same flavor, i.e. graham cracker, may taste completely different from TFA to FW (Flavor West).

Get a feel for the taste of the various flavorings by testing them alone.

After a while you might be able to taste something and think its good but it needs a little raspberry.

Patience is everything with DIY. I found the recipe I love, and I make large batches and stay at least a month ahead. I do mostly tobacco flavors, and the flavor changes dramatically with age. I have recently started mixing fruit liquids for a friend who likes them, and I noticed that those come together rather quickly. I discovered I really like Dragons Blood. You can try speed steeping with hot water, but I find that the slow method makes for a better product. Leave.the bottles uncapped for a day, also. This will allow any alcohol that may be in the flavoring to evaporate. For sweetening, I like to use vanilla, maple, or caramel. I rarely use EM or other sweeteners, on the advice I got from this forum. They can mute flavors, and leave you with flat tasting juice. Also do single flavors, so you can find out what each component tastes like. Have fun and experiment. Good luck!
