DIY E-Liquid Noob

Right basically, I have absolutely no experience with mixing my own juice, but hope to get into it in the future. Also, I don't overly care about flavour intensity, I prefer milder flavours over strong flavours, but will still Vape anything.
So here is my question.
Is it possible to double the amount of juice you buy, by getting twice the strength you normally vape at, then adding the same amount of VG in order to half the nicotine?

So let's say I bought a 30ml at 24mg, could I mix it with 30ml VG and end up with 60ml at 12mg?

Thank you guys and I look forward to hearing your answers.

Hey guys, thanks for the fast replies. I vape some uncommon flavours, mostly monster (its like red bull only sweeter), southern comfort, and a liquid called polusion. I have no idea what's in polusion, but it starts off with a heavy citrus, and ends with an aniseed after taste. The polusion would probably benefit from being toned down haha. So if I got a 50/50 VG/PG mix and doubled the volume with pure VG I would theoretically end up with a 75/25 VG/PG (my math is probably wrong haha) which I have seen before. I'm going to have to try it out and see what happens. I can get 100ml VG for £3.00 so it isn't too expensive if it goes wrong.

I'm new to this too but if you mix it up to 60ml I think your flavour would be none existent because they flavour would be diluted down.

Like you said, your new at this :)

You still get a lot of flavor. Some may not find it enough but some never have enough. You can often order a flavor shot if you find it to week but I was like the OP and don't like to get hit over the head with flavor. I did this for a few months to get my feet wet until I went full DIY. I mix most of my juice around 10%. Many folks go as high as 20% or higher. Taste is totally subjective and there is no "wrong" or "right".

Yes. In fact, my next round of buying will be a liter of unflavored 60mg/ml. Diluted to 12mg/ml, that yields 5 liters. Or about 2 and 1/2 years worth. Of course, what I'm doing is stocking and freezing so it's got more steps (like filling smaller, separate bottles for freezing, etc.) but that's a fairly typical thing for a DIYer to do.

Of course, there's always twiddly bits in there. Like if you like 50/50 PG/VG but most flavors come in PG and you want to do 20% flavor... erm... oh, math. :)

But to start, I always suggest going over to Mount Baker's DIY section. You can buy plain nic at your preferred PG/VG ratio and nic level and skip, for now, worrying about that part while you play around with flavors. They have tons of flavors, little empty bottles, what have you. You can dabble and experiment then decide if you want to move up to diluting bulk nic or not.

to ecf Jamok23. So glad you are here. Wonderful place to get help. I know. :D

Yes you can. And here is a calculator that I use to mix pre made juices that has helped me.

Good luck to you and happy mixing. :)
