yea, whatever you do dont mix a 100 ml bottle if it turns out nasty then you trashed it all. also remember adding anything to a 12mg base will bring the nic level down some more.
wizlabs is the best place for nic
Make sure you download the ejuiceme up calculator, its free and once you understand it works perfect.

i get labwear (vials syringes and stuff) from wiz.
the flavor apprentice and lorrains oils is where most of the wiz flavors come from
when i order flav's from TFA i usually also order pg and vg.

the best thing to do is get a small bottle of 100mg. mix it down real quick using ejuice me up to about 36mg and then you always have ready base to whip something up.

I know it seems tedious, but mixing small bottles until you find recipes you like is the best way, i dont know how many 10 ml bottles hit the sink in the past and so glad it was a small amount.

if you are interested in DIY you should check out the DIY forums. lots of tips, tricks and recipes ...........

in the end when you start finding recipes you like it gets dirt cheap, i can mix my Double caramel candy ry4 for like 1.20- 1.60 a 50 ml bottle

I ordered a premixed base of 100 ml pg/vg with 12 mg nicotine. All I need to do is add some flavour to this bottle. Do I roughly toss in 10 ml of perfumers apprentice?

I don't really want to play with 10 ml of bottles at a time. That's why I want to do it like this.

Don't Do It again Don't Do It
Read, read, and read some more in the DIY forum before you even start to mix anything. I have only been trying DIY for a week, and most of my attempts at acheiveing a decent juice are literaly down the drain. After 10 or 20 attempts using 5 Ml practice samples and some at 10 Mls I finally got one great batch of Double RY4. It takes a LOT of practice to get a juice that is up to your standards of taste and vapor. You will literally waste 100 Ml if you attempt to mix that large of a batch on the first try, unless you are one lucky Dude.

DIY is not as easy as throwing some flavoring into some nic base and making great and satisfying ejuice. There is a learning curve. There are no shortcuts in making worthwhile juice. There is a dedicated sub forum for DIY and many have tried to skip the steps necessary to become a competent ejuice mixer. Most have been very disappointed with the results.
Patience is a must. If you find you are lacking of patience, it will be less expensive and ultimately more rewarding to your vaping experience to continue to purchase pre-made liquids from trusted artisans.

I'm a total noob but IMHO it depends on what you're mixing and how strong that flavor is along with your own individual taste requirements. I don't really think there's a good formula from someone else. Otherwise we would all be clamoring to the same juice mixer. For instance, I've heard it said that a drop'll doya of tobacco flavors and I think that's true. Whereas if you're working with a watermelon flavor for instance your taste might require flavoring beyond what's recommended. The key, to me, is start way under the recommendation of the flavoring producer, steep, and add more (drop-by-drop) until you hit it. If you work small I don't think you loose anything if you use moderation. You can always add more flavor or base as needed. Just keep good records.

PS I've also heard that if you add too much flavor it can also go tasteless. I think it flat out obliterates the taste buds.

Anyhow i used a 27 ML base and 3 ML of PA banana flavour. Tastes great and it was my first batch. Not sure why most of you tinkering with 5-10 ml's :p

Anyone can do that and have a reasonably good success. However, how would you go about mixing 2, 3 or 4 different flavors to make a really tasty ejuice? The answer is.............can't be done. Learning how to mix different flavors from different vendors is very important for any success besides making a one note flavor like banana something. Flavor vendors mostly make their flavors according to different recipes. For example, Capella flavors are easy to work with and difficult to mess up (although I have managed to do that a couple of times). Flavor Arts flavors are much more strong and have to be handled with care when using in any end-user recipe. Read and learn and do not scoff at those of us who are making multi-layered ejuice carefully.

That's great you hit on a flavor you like so quick! I was kinda lucky too...I like menthol, but I'm really picky. Yet..after a couple of batches and about 3 days trying I got my "perfect menthol"...which I've been using exclusively now for about 5 months. I considered myself very VERY lucky, though! And I took LOTS of notes!! LOTS!!! Write everything down...to the last drop!
