This is what I have done with commercial juice that have chemical taste. Some call ti "breathing". I just call it "Shake. Let sit with cap off."

A 'chemical' taste may indicate you are using too much flavoring.

What kind of flavor are you making?
Vanilla's especially, tend towards that chemical taste - and really long steeping, or possibly reducing the %, may help.

The Perfumers Apprentice do a decent enough Menthol @PAUL L. BEALL, at 2% it gives a pretty decent kick.

Without knowing what kind of nic base, flavoring and concentration of the flavoring you're using it's hard to answer your question.
