Yep, fine to steep in the bottles you're going to dispense from. Ready-mixes bought in shops / on-line are in the same type of bottles.

Many recipes do benefit from some time steeping - especially tobacco type flavors. Fruits and such may also benefit, but are usually good when mixed - although may improve with age.

Don't you think the kind of plastic matters?

at that small of an amount of nic base, I wouldnt worry if it was either VG or PG... pick one or the other of the choices and follow the rest of the volumes for the filler and flavor... there wont be too much of a difference in viscosity of the final mix.

if you want to continue doing DIY, you may want to consider getting a 100 mg/ml nic base in either VG or PG, makes the math so much easier...

I think the max you can buy there, at least when it was available, was something like 72 mg/ml. No way I can do that math in my head without using a pencil on my skull. 100 mg/ml really does keep things simple. Just like mixing 50 ml or 100 ml of juice, rather than the "standard" 60 ml or 120 ml. Also offers the benefit of some room at the top of the bottle so you can get a really solid shake in.

Speaking of which, I use unicorn bottles exclusively for filling my tanks. However, I mix in glass as my experience the shaking of a unicorn bottle just doesn't let it mix all that well.

Unfortunately, 18mg (<20mg) shots in 10ml is the strongest you can legally purchase in Europe.
The DIY calculators should still work OK with 18mg.
A lot of vendors are selling zero nicotine liquids in (much) larger than 10ml and advising their customers how many shots to add to get the required result.

This was how the cookie crumbled in Europe.

A shot can be bought for under £1. Not too bad, but the amounts needed of 18mg makes it important to judge the PG/VG ratio of the shots.

But before the current regulations kicked in, wasn't there a limit which was below 100 mg, like 72 mg or something?

Yes.. it was 72mg, that's right.
I often bought 54mg... I can't remember why... I'm still using the 54mg before I get into the 72mg sometime mid 2018. That (the 72) will last until 2022 or more if the freezer does it's job. :)

didnt realize that 18 was a maximum value over there for nic base.... so for people who vape over 18 nic are being denied the opportunity to use nic at 19+ are basically SOL... pretty much anything below 24 leaves me feeling unsatisfied ( I vape 36nic)...

I tried 18 nic ( bought it by accident) and I ended up chain vaping... with 36 I take a couple of puffs and Im good to go for 1/2 hour or so before needing another puff or 3

Yes, IF that's what your 18mg nic is. Then, just to the right, you enter it's nic %, in your case, 18.

I believe David meant to say "its nic strength" and not "it's nic %". I found that confusing too when I started DIY, always thinking in terms of % when in fact the measurement is 18 milligrams of 100% nicotine per milliliter of the base liquid(s).
