DIY juice- taste/smell vg & pg- burnt flavor

I tried a diy- added my 'flavor' @20% to 60vg 40pg- BUT, it has a 'burnt' taste- and I 'smell' the vg/pg more than I think I should. I did add sweetener @1drops/ml.
Why is my pg/vg imprinting more than what I buy?
Why the 'burnt' taste? It's not my clearo or wick & if I change flavors, it's not there.
Suggestions?

What "flavor" did you use?

some flavors will taste burnt at anything over 5%

That's why I leave it to the pros.Thought long and hard about DYI,and decided if it can be screwed up,I would screw it up.LOL

I doubt many here will agree but I do believe there are differences in both PG and VG by brand. I believe that, not only with DIY, it is a key difference among vendor's juices as well as nic quality. I've had the exact same flavoring taste good in one brand PG or VG and not another. That's why I believe this. I don't know if that's your "burnt" problem though as it could be the flavoring itself. I've had this change-by-brand in the same flavoring too. I think you'll need to give a little more info for those more knowledgable to answer you.
