There are several good brands that work for vaping (Flavor West, the Flavorer's Apprentice, Capellas, etc etc), but making your own extracted flavors is a much more complicated thing and not super common. You can probably read up about some of the methods on the DIY Ejuice forum, but I don't know if anyone really knows a good way to figure out what extracts will be safe to vape and what won't.

I want to start making my own e juice, I have ordered some PG,VG, and syringes. I don't know what to use for flavoring though? I know you can get concentrates and extracts online, but I would really like to make my own. Does anybody have any experience with this?

Please, spend a lot of time down in the DIY section. There are some very informative stickies there. Download ScubaDans calculator for free and play with it. Read some more in the DIY section. Think about using a scale and doing your mixing by weight. Read some more in the DIY section.... I think you are seeing the pattern here :)

You can extract your own flavourings I have seen coffee and tobacco done but it's not easy and a long process easier just to buy concentrates depending on the flavours your wanting... Fruit for example Inawera do some fantastic fruit flavours and because they are strong you only need maybe 3-5% per mix so a 10ml bottle goes a long long long way...

That's just 2 of a million topics here on ECF that talk about this kind of stuff

Hello and welcome to the forum Nekrokid. Glad to have you here!:)

For all things DIY head on over to the DIY ELiquid Forum.

You will not be able to post there until you get in your first 5 posts and the servers update at :25 past the hour. Make sure to read all the "stickies". Also check out the blogs by ECF members Hoosier & dannyv45.

dannyv45 posted this thread a while ago. Recommended Reading For People New to DYI.

For a juice mixing calculator consider using eJuiceMeUp

I don't just buy all my flavors from one flavoring company. I primarily use Flavor Arts but there are some flavors that TFA/Inawera/Capella and others do better (and better/best is subjective depending on what you like). Start out with a few recipes you want to make, research those flavors to see who does it best and then try making a few recipes.

Here are some threads you may like to read through for different flavoring companies. Many of the posts include recipes and comments about a specific flavor.

1. Flavor Arts (FA) - Pure Vapes has 3ml FlavourArt flavorings
2. The Flavor Apprentice (TFA) - The Flavor Apprentice Flavoring Thread
3. Inawera (IW) - Inawera - a few reviews
4. Hangsen (HG) - The Hangsen Thread
5. VapingZone (VZ) - New Super Concentrated Flavors & New Super Concentrated Flavors - Part 2

I decided to try a few premixed flavors from DIY flavor shack. I heard good things about the Holy Grail RY4, and have already tried the tigers blood they sell ready to vape.

There are a few places you can start... Wizard labs is a popular spot also. Get your vg/pg base, some nicotine and try to make a single flavor juice.

I am slowly getting into DIY. There are some great vendors and great juices out there. But 90% of the time the juices that everyone rave about are just Meh to me...

Time to make my own!
